  1. Hi Could anyone out there link me a good diet to "prevent" acne and/or that helps with better skin? I'm looking for a well thought out one that is easy to read. Thanks for any help
  2. Hello I've had moderate acne for quite a few years now (probably around 4 years now) and i'm getting really tired of it. I've been to two dermatologists and both of them instantly prescribed me roaccutane. Not even any questions about how I feel about it or anything.. I am currently battling a lot of anxiety and some depression (some due to acne, some due to other things) and I've read the side-effects about suicide thoughts among other things with this medication.. and I am really scar
  3. Did you try the oils? I'd be willing to bet your lipid (oil) layer is compromised and needs repair. Drinking water is important, yes - but if your skin's lipid layer is compromised, water will just evaporate through your skin. Your skin's ability to retain water depends on that layer. Aloe won't help much with that, as there aren't any oils in aloe. Try 5-6 drops of jojoba as your moisturizer. I used both jojoba oil and Acne.org moisturizer (and combined them together) and they made like a la
  4. Aloe vera didn't seem to work...Any other suggestions? I think my skin could look a lot better if it was properly moisturized.. i try to drink a lot of water, but there is only so much water i can drink during a day..
  5. Hi So i've tried lots and lots of different moisturizers, most of which have been based as a lotion. What seems to happen every time i use a lotion is that it clogs my pores, and when i wash my face a couple of hours later this same white lotion comes out of my skin again.. like...arg what?! So i've tried to use one gel moisturizer instead, which is the green tea moisturizer from proactiv. I seems to be better for my skin, but still can't really make it moisturized again... My skin have
  6. Yeah, i guess it has.. I just hope it isn't permanentely damaged. The way my mindstate is like i really couldn't live with myself if that ought to be the case. Im gonna wait for my products from Paulas Choice (they seem to have good knowledge about skincare judging from their website. A lot of info and so on) and be very gentle with amounts and see if it improves my skin. If it doesn't work i will definetely give the clinique redness relief soothing cleanser a try. Thanks again you've been mos
  7. hmm, right now i use nothing. just wash my face with water when i shower morning and evening. yes, i did in fact take a picture this morning because it was looking worse than usual image.jpg Picture is taken after i've removed the dead skin cells surface. Is it possible that you have broken capillaries under the skin? Does your skin feel sensitive or bumpy where the redness is? It does not look like the redness is all over your face so that's why I ask. I found a picture on google images of

  10. Thanks for answering people. I really do appreciate it
  11. Hi My acne has been improving a lot this summer. This is probably due to both time and sun exposure. However, my skin still struggles with some issues. Every time i wash my face and look in the mirror i see areas on my face having layers of built up dead skin cells. Some of them is just the ordinary "dry skin" white cells, but some days i can also drag my fingernail carefully on my skin and i will have big yellow-ish flakes coming off. After i've removed those yellow flaky areas the skin un
  12. any other explinations to what this is? im worried it might be a serious skin condition that needs treatment, or if i did something to make it this way..
