  1. Hello All, I have been dealing with moderate to severe acne for about the last 2 years. I had slight acne in highschool but nothing out of the ordinary for kids that age, but it has progressively gotten worse. So has my self esteem and confidence. I have an appointment with my FOURTH dermatologist on monday. How do I finally convince him that I need accutane? My skin is an oil slick by noon everyday (if I shower around 8-9am). I often have to shower twice a day just to clear
  2. Hello, Thanks for taking the time to read this. Anyways, saw my term today as I have no seen much result with my antibiotics (doxy 100mg daily). I went through a terrible initial breakout with my doxy..probably worst breakout of my life during week 4-8. It has slowly gotten better (now going on 3 months) but I would still classify it as moderate acne. I was then prescribed adapalene cream 0.1% today. 3. I'm starting to get really fed up with my antibiotic prescription (doxy) Is it possible antibiotic can make acne worse for some people? I've been on it for about 12 weeks and have seen no results, if anything its gotten worse (chin, jawline especially) my skin is starting to get much more oily as the day progresses as well. I'm currently using a good cleaner for my acne-prone skin but it does dry my skin out a little, especially if I'm dehydrated at all. Anyways, Ive tried many moisturizers and have yet to find one that doesn't make my t-zone look extremely oily after a couple hours. I am prescribed doxy and also use azeliac acid if this would affect any product recommendati
  6. Hello everyone, New to the forums here. I'm a 20 year old male. I've been struggling with moderate/sometimes severe acne for about a year and a half now. It was essentially obsolete in high school..never anything to be concerned about. Then I started working out/taking supplements and I think my horomores are now out of whack. Anyways I've seen two different derms and a skin specialist. I've been on doxycycline for 7 weeks and seen no results. I wash my face a minimum of twi
