  1. Awesome. Thanks again. I'd look into that in my next derm appointment. Hopefully, this thing is gone by now but if not, I'll ask for one.
  2. Awesome I'll take your advice. I was very close in getting one yesterday until the derm took a look at the spot one last time and said it doesn't need to have one? Maybe it is just too small and maybe I am just too paranoid. You seem knowledgeable though. Will a cortisone shot dissolve whatever junk is inside? How does that actually work?
  3. Thanks for your reply buddy. You know what, if it was an ordinary pimple, I wouldn't be too worried but this one, I played/picked it way way too much and what drives me nuts is the fact I probably induced my own misery. If I let it heal on its own, I'm sure it would have been gone by now with no scar. I think the spot ruptured under the skin because when I gently squeeze the area, I could see some white stuff scattered inside the skin. The lump has gone down quite a bit. I just don't know what i
  4. Long story short, I had a cystic pimple on my right cheek in January. I picked on it miserably to no avail. It went through the same healing stage as a regular cyst. (Pimple, lump, dark mark) but what puzzles me is it is still there right now. It looks like your normal post acne red mark from far but occasionally, I would feel sort of like a tiny lump under the skin where it used to be. It never came to a head and looks like the plug is too deep under the skin. It would scab over a few times and
  5. My acne scars are quite shallow and it is isolated in 2 areas. I think derma stamping or rolling would work and really eliminate and fade them well. I was also wondering, do you have any hyperpigmentation or dark/red spots that you also stamp? And has stamping so far caused the skin to produce more pigment and make the area darker? I heard that too much needling in an area can cause hyperpigmentation. And for the last question for now: Why did you choose the stamp over the roller? Sorry if my q
  6. Thanks! Actually, I know what you are talking about. Those are not scars. Those are just PIH that formed from the needles hitting the healthy skin. They are perfectly normal. Mine went away in about a day or 2. I made sure I bled during my stamping. Collagen won't be induced if there is no "injury" or bleeding. When you are stamping, always make sure the whole scar has been stamped. You will know that if a scab forms on the scar. That way when it is remodeling, the whole scar is affected not ju

  9. UPDATE: The area I stamped is progressing very well. Last night I got a little bit impatient so I stamped another area of my cheek. This area had 3 or 4 shallow pock marks. Same steps applied as the 1st. Took a shower, washed my face with spectro jel, stamped. I heard the popping/ripping sounds as well. The area of my skin is red right now but nothing major. To treat it, I consume vitamin A,C,E and apply polysporine on the area. I do not apply any topicals on the area until about 5-6 days or so.
  10. I used a 1 mm derma stamp. I stamped a whole area of my skin with just a couple of very shallow scars and mostly healthy skin. It was swollen at first with a lot of needle marks but it's been 5 days now and the area went back to normal with I'd say a 10% improvement on the scars. This very shallow pock mark is barely visible anymore. I will continue to stamp the same area and move on to the next.UPDATE: It's been 5 days now since I stamped. The area was swollen/red at first. The needles left nic
  11. Hello everyone, I purchased the 1 mm Derma stamp from owndoc.com about 2 weeks ago and I got it today. The 1 mm derma stamp was supposed to be mainly for macules/PIH and shallow scars which I mostly have. I tried the derma stamp on a test spot on the side of my cheeks with a couple of very tiny and shallow pock marks. I am planning on stamping the rest of my cheeks in due time but for now, I just tried the stamp on a test spot to see how my skin reacts or if it does at all. I took a shower, cl
  12. Skin needling should really be done by a professional for the best results. Ice pick scars are generally the trickiest to treat and/or require more treatments to achieve good results. If your scars are very shallow/superficial you want to be careful that you don't over-treat your skin. Sometimes more aggressive treatments are not the way to go. Start light and work your way up if you feel you need to. First big question: skin tone. The tone of your skin may limit your treatment options. Some tr
  13. Hello everyone! I have very minor acne scarring, mostly tiny indented pock marks and 2 boxcar/icepick scars (fairly shallow and small). I have decided to try derma stamping for treatment but I need some help from you all! Acne scars are taking a toll on my confidence, social life etc and I just want to live a normal life again. I have a few questions to ask you? 1. My pock marks are isolated, not clustered for the most part, what size of the derma stamp should I buy? 2. I am under topicals
  14. I have like about 8-10 scars in my cheeks in total. 2 of them are more prominent. I think most of them are called ice pick scars. I have a wider one beside my nose which I am not entirely worried about. It's those other tiny scars I am worried about because they make my skin tone so uneven. What do you think should I do? And how should I go about needling these scars since most of them are isolated? Thanks!
  15. Hello everyone, I have been suffering from acne since I was about 17. I am now 19 and I am 99% cleared from acne with daily use of spectro gel, clindamycin solution with dilusol and differin gel 0.1%. Although my scars have improved quite a bit since I got them 2 years ago, I am still not satisfied. I would need some suggestions on what treatments I could possibly do. My scars are fairly shallow. Some of them are clustered in one spot but for the most part they are isolated. I am thinking of pur
