  1. sooo I went to the dermatologist today with low hopes for my acne situation I have been afraid of Accutane since researching this site but it was the first thing she recommended She eased all my fears and we talked about the potential side effects She told me she's seen amazing results from patients she's treated with it and Idk, the possibility to an end of acne makes me feel like a new person I can't really believe its a possibility I can picture for myself I go back next Wednesday for a
  2. Your experiences sound a lot like mine. Loestrin is the worst! And Spironolactone lowered my blood pressure so much I could barely stand up. I'm on generic Ortho Tricyclen currently, and while it doesn't break me out like Loestrin did It hasn't done much for my acne either. Thanks for posting this, I am going to check out Zovia (Demulen) now.
  3. Read this article My problem areas: 4 & 5: Kidneys — Anything around the eyes (including dark circles) point to dehydration. Drink up! 9 & 10: Respiratory system — Do you smoke? Have allergies? This is your problem area for both. If neither of these is the issue, don’t let your body overheat, eat more cooling foods, cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugar) a

If you go on the holistic board, the general belief is that acne is caused by leaky gut or food allergies/sensitivities, not the direct hormonal link. Half the time I discuss hormones on there people blow me off. I'm putting the information here for people who actually care about the hormonal issues. Also many of these herbs have contraindications for women on prescription hormonal treatment. Example, Vitex reduces

  6. scar treatments?

    1. feeling sad about my acne today i would feel so pretty if i had clear skin even when i have no pimples my scars are bad its a hopeless case i know its vain but i do wish i could have nice skin and look beautiful acne has been a part of my life for so long that i don't even consider that a possibility anymore
    2. Do you think low blood pressure could be remedied by diet? I read once that you were on the Paleo diet. I am a poor college kid and mostly nibble on junk food. I wonder if I could start Spiro again if I changed my eating habits.
    3. recovered from my emotional breakdown over this acne...on to determine a new regimen

      1. I can't find any testimones or reviews on Flutamide for acne really, the liver side effects seem more intense than low blood pressure from spirolactone : ( i guess i will start with some natural anti-androgens
