Seems like every time I exfoliate my face feels amazing for the first day but then I start breaking out a couple days later. I guess my face is too sensitive and it's really easy to overdo it. How do I find a balance? I've even used gentle microfiber towels but still had breakouts later. I'm thinking of just going the gentlest route there is an using a simple cotton pad to lightly exfoliate. Anyone do this?

Every time I eat a lot of beans...black beans, pinto beans, etc I'll start getting constipated and then get a bad breakout a couple days later. This seems to happen every time. Anyone else?

This past weekend I had more potatoes than I've ever had before. Mashed, french fries, chopped. A couple days later o developed so many whiteheads...one of the worst breakouts I've had in years. I then learned that potatoes are one of the highest glycemic foods. Anyone else have a problem with potatoes?

Not sure if this will help you at all, but I sure hope it does in some way. I really really do. I'm a 29 year old male and have been through all the things you've described (cancelling plans, staying inside, etc) since I was 13 years old. It's hard man, it's really hard. In the past year or so, for the first time in my life, I've started living a little bit. Have a new girlfriend, hang out with friends, make plans and don't cancel that often. For the first time since I'

For some reason I'll always develop irritation and then pimples a day or two after eating chipotle. Weird thing is that I can eat other fast food, which is considered terrible (taco bell, McDonalds, etc) and not break out. Chipotle is supposed to be pretty good for you and I can't figure out why I break out from it. The stuff get at chipotle consists of a bowl or salad with a lot of meat (chicken, steak, of pork), guac, lettuce, veggies, salsa. I don't even get high glycemic stuff

Looking back, I've realized that I started taking new supplements when my skin was already nearly 100% clear, just in an attempt to get it to 100%. Every time I start taking something new, even after I take it for a while (in case it's purging at first), my skin is consistently worse. Fish oil (the highest quality kind that is like $60 on amazon, raw fish oil), cheaper fish oil, vitamin d3, zinc, etc...whatever it is, my skin is consistently worse when taking it. I always try one supplement a

Besides the obvious stop stressing (it's not that easy). I'm 30 and my face is MUCH better than it was in the past (which I'm very thankful for), but I can get some nasty breakouts on my chin and mouth during times when I'm stressing, such as when a big event is coming up. It's weird...I'll start thinking/worrying that I'm going to get a breakout and then I do. I'm pretty sure just the fact that I'm thinking I WILL get a breakout is the exact thing that causes me to breakout, since the mind

Does any doctor do this or do you have to go through a specialist or something? I suspect my adult acne is due to food allergies so I want to get tested.

I was constantly having new breakouts and as a 27 year old male, I started getting fed up with it. It destroyed my social life since I was 13. I never went on accutane because I didn't think my case was serious enough, even though it was bad enough to destroy my self confidence. I never drank milk anyways because I don't like it, but I did always eat a ton of cheese, sour cream, etc. With my latest breakout, the worst one I've had in months, I started thinking back and realized I was eating

Started taking taurine just for the blood flow benefits and also noticed from a Google search that there seems to be nothing but positive reviews for it clearing up skin. I developed one of the worst breakouts ive had in years over the past few weeks and the only thing new I've done us started taking taurine. Anyone else?

I'm extremely suspicious that food allergies may be the cause of my adult acne. How many of you have gotten a food allergy test? Do you just go to your regular doctor or somewhere else?

Well here I am, 30 years old and I finally feel like I am able to control my acne. I'm serious when I say that I'm so damn thankful for where I am now (minimal, sometimes no acne). I started getting acne when I was 13. I basically had zero confidence throughout high school and college (I'm surprised I was even able to go to college). I was anti social and never made an attempt to talk to people. I would go to school and then come home and stay in my room. For some reason though, I had people

I contacted a derm office and was quoted $450 for one session, which seems like quite a bit. Could you guys recommend a better one?

I don't think my face can handle any exfoliation. I'm dealing with some bad acne right now since I exfoliated with a washcloth last week. I know its exfoliation because I've done this several times in the past. I don't know why I keep trying. Anyone else have this issue?
