  1. You're welcome! Don't forget to use the overripe tomato too. I forgot to mention the packet of fast acting yeast. Make sure it's a new packet and hasn't expired. It must be fast acting too!! If you add that to the honey, potato, benzoyl peroxide or whatever bacteria killer you use, it will help the stuff get to the pimple better. It will increase the effectiveness. Good luck!
  2. Yes....that is exactly right. Your body will handle the sugar in regular better than the garbage that is in diet soda. Diet soda dehydrates you and that is bad for acne, weightloss, etc.
  3. :D/ What I've discovered. . . I've been on a mission to get rid of acne, prevent further scarring, and get rid of current acne scars. I have spent a lot of time researching ideas and trying various things. I am still looking for better and improved methods. The follow is what I've discovered so far: 'Age-Less Skin Formula' by Bluebonnet made my skin look wonderful, radiant, and gave an overall glow. Take one capsule daily. It did absolutely nothing for acne but I liked what it

  5. :D/ CBS had a special on TV called, "Four-Step Cure For Acne". Following are some quotes from the article followed by a link to the story: Dr. Terry Dubrow, a plastic surgeon based in Newport Beach, Calif., says first a patient must understand the true origins of acne (genetic) and then find a proper cure. According to Dr. Dubrow, acne has four distinct stages, and you must attack all four in order to wipe it out. The stages are: Dry cells mixed with sebum and block the pores;
  6. Celine: Have you tried the Vita-K solution cream for blotchy skin that everyone is talking about? Also what about the B5 vitamin ..10 gm per day. Thanks No, but I want to. Where do I get it from?
  7. Reply from sister-in-law: I asked Dr. Wright about that article on comedeogenic stuff, he knows about Dr. Felton, he is quite a maveric in dermatology. He says some of his stuff is scientific, and then he goes off into things that are somewhat outside of the dermatological community. But, if you see a relationship with any of those things and your acne, well, maybe there is some truth to it. (I don't...just sent her article b/c I was curious.) Some of the things are obviously comedeogenic
  8. Remember, you have no one to blame for that unsightly blemish but yourself if you don’t follow my five quick and simple fixes. (This tip also came from ediet.com) 1. Soak a cotton ball in warm saltwater. Press over the blemish for 3 minutes to "dissolve" the top of the pimple. 2. Dab a bit of honey on the affected area to deep-clean the pore and draw out bacteria. Let sit for 10 minutes. 3. Mix a packet of fast-acting yeast with enough tea tree oil to make a paste. Spread over the emerging
  9. I found a website with some GREAT ideas. The free beauty secrets can be found at ediets.com. There are SO MANY I hardly know what to do with myself. 8) Some examples from website are: Let's explore what exfoliating is and why it's important in skin care. Exfoliation removes the very top layers of skin. This is necessary to remove residue, blackheads and the leathery layers of the years. Your skin's response will dictate how often you should do this. Using powdered milk and warm wat
  10. Have you heard anything about the "Lucky Penny" neutrogena products for helping with acne? It's skincare and cosmetics. Here's a link to their website: Neutrogena : visibly firm: skincare's “lucky penny” http://www.neutrogena.com/Content.asp?ID=70
  11. Hello!! I am new to the boards. I have been reading thru the threads like crazy but this is my first posting. I have also been doing my own online research plus reading materials in books on this topic. I have a few comments/questions regarding everything. My goals are to rid myself of adult acne and the scars they've caused. I didn't really have acne as a teen (the usual pimple here and there) but now it's a different story. I went thru a rough period in my life and the acne came with
