  1. Really glad I came accross this topic. I took accutane for 6 months last year and finished around November. I've had an acne free 9 months, it's amazing how quickly you forget about acne when it's gone from your life. It's been a great 9 months. I Tried various other antibiotics prior to that over the course of about 5 years. Prior to taking accutane I really worked hard with my diet and did kickboxing so was fit as a fiddle but made no difference so I was desperate. The past 9 months I'd sa
  2. Well at least thats something positive about the drug! haha. Its a bit of a tough situation, keep taking a supressant for years to come or take Accutane for 6 months (hopefully). This worked won

Worked initially. No side effects. Doesnt last. Only Supresses acne. Acne will get worse initially when you stop taking it. As soon as you stop taking this drug your acne will resume. It simply supresses the problem and for me it was not all that effective anyway.
