  1. I also haven't used the acne.org products, but I do use Wal-mart's Equate line, which is supposed to be a cheaper version of Proactiv. I just follow the same steps as the Regimen and I've had some great success with it. The only thing is that I use the moisturizer as the BP treatment since it has 2.5% BP in it. As for moisturizing, most days I didn't, but when I started to get flaky, I used jojoba oil and patted it in. Good luck (:
  2. This is really interesting! What is the recommended length of breastfeeding time? I asked my mom and she breast-fed me for about a year.

    Which Hormone?

I'm 16 years old and my skin stopped being super oily a few years ago, but my acne moved all over my cheeks while my t-zone area is for the most part clear. At the beginning of this year, my periods were being really irregular, so I thought I would try to do something about my hormones since I hadn't tried it yet. I took Wild Yam extract for a couple weeks and then I took Spearmint tea in addition to the Wild Yam. I started to get some painful acne along my neck and jawline area, which had never
  4. Wow, your skin is healing up nicely for just a month. My acne looks very similar to yours, so I'm curious as to what you're doing differently!

Heals acne Helps fade red marks/hyperpigmentation Very cheap Can be a bit messy Has a strange taste if you get some in your mouth Epsom salts are amazing. I take about a handful of the salts and put them into a large bowl. Then I fill it with hot water, making sure all the grains are dissolved, and then I soak my face in it for about 5-10 minutes. Of course, coming up for air every 20 seconds. I also take some and exfoliate my face, then go back to soaking. I felt a pimple under my skin and it p

    Teenage Acne

Hmm, I've never thought about that. But I drink lemon water pretty often and I've had no problems (or so I think). I could definitely try that, thank you!

    Teenage Acne

I'm 16 and I have acne. I realize that it seems almost futile to try and attempt to do anything about it since I'm only going to grow out of it (or so I hope). However, after having a terrible explosion of acne all over my cheeks a little more than a year ago, I've become much more aware of my body and my health. While I know that my acne is mainly hormonal, I refuse to accept that my acne is a normal part of growing. My twin sister has nearly perfect skin (though she does have mild eczema) and
  8. I'm Chinese too and the hyperpigmentation is definitely the worst part. Even if I don't pop a pimple and just leave it alone, it will always leave a mark and it's so annoying! I've had success over the last month with using organic honey to wash my face and to use it as a mask every night and I only use olive oil to moisturize. Also, I sometimes do a turmeric mask (though the stain can be a nuisance) or a Vitamin C paste. Drinking a lot of water, getting enough rest, taking vitamin D3, vitamin C

    Cheek Acne

I started to get cheek acne about a year ago and it's terrible because your cheeks are the biggest area on your face. ): But right now, my acne is really calm. Now, I'm not sure whether or not what I've been doing is working because I've started this recently, but what I've been doing is avoiding grains, refined sugars, and dairy -- just overall keeping a low inflammatory diet. I'm basically following the protocol for the Gut Diet. I've also been taking Zinc, Probiotics, and Flaxseed Oil. For a

  11. I have tried that actually; how do you treat your nodules? How long do they last? Whoops, I meant papules, not nodules. Sorry, about that.
  12. Try an activated charcoal poultice. Just google it. I've never tried a poultice because I never get cysts, just nodules. But I do use a charcoal mask every once in awhile and it really reduces the redness, pain, and size.
  13. I used to be like that. I also was very shy around guys (even before my acne got out of control), especially guys I found really attractive. It's really easy to lose confidence when you think that all these guys with clear skin won't talk to you because there's other girls with beautiful skin that you think they would prefer. The way I think about though is that if those guys won't talk to you because of your acne/pih, they're not worth your time. You probably hear that a million times, but it's
  14. WhiteFox, in that video you posted, he mentioned that if in the morning you have leaky gut and throughout the day you avoid all the foods that cause leaky gut, your gut will be healed by the end of the day. Does he mean that the healing process starts? Because I don't think he means that your gut is completely healed, correct?
  15. If I cook/bake garlic and onion, will they still be effective as prebiotics?
