  1. I'm on Mirena and I have been having more breakouts since getting it. I really love the pros of having this birth control so I just cannot let it go, even though I get more acne. I used to be on Ortho Tri "Craplen" too and had horrible breakouts. I also had bad mood swings wile taking that poison. You could try to take anti bacterial pills (I took monocycline) which help somewhat. However, if you are really miserable, you are better off getting off hormonal birth control and getting your skin ba
  2. I'm a success story of using IPL laser to help with acne spots. I used to have brown and red acne marks and now am almost spot free! I paid for my first 3 IPL facials ($600 ouch!!!) and then bought a Tria laser (for hair removal) and started doing my own IPL treatments. It took over six months to achieve good results. I'm sorry I don't have any good "before" pictures, but I just took one of myself today with no make up on which I am attaching. Most of the brown spots you see are freckles. (I
  3. So the pimple that i used the Zeno on was already in the middle stage so using Zeno brought it to the surface within a couple of hours. I was able to pop it easily. I'm going to have to wait till next time i get one of those pimples that is really deep and painful and see if Zeno does anything for that. I'll update my post then.
  4. Don't be too hard on herself. You're not alone. I feel horrible if I wake up with a new pimple. It's like the whole day just goes to shit. On days like that I just put on as much make up on that sucker as I can and keep going on. Primer, foundation, concealer, powder....whatever it takes for it to stay covered up so ppl that talk to me don't notice how bad it really is. That's my advice. As to your crush, what I would do is apologize and say something like "Oh, i'm sorry I was so rude to you
  5. I totally feel you. I have so many red and brown spots left on my cheeks. My boyfriend tells me my skin looks good, but i don't believe him. lol. IPLs are so damn expensive. I bought a Tria Laser Hair Removal device which is IPL laser and have been using it on my face. (genius, i kno lol). I have been seeing improvements with that, actually. I use my Tria once a week. I did chemical peels as well. (I did a peel once a week at home myself. 30% Lactic acid for 2 minutes. Nothing major.) That he
  6. Just tried the Zeno Hot Spot for the first time 5 minutes ago. It's super easy to use, but i feel a little skeptical since the metal tip did not get as hot as I expected. I wonder if my device is defective or maybe it just doesn't get as hot as people say it does. My pimple is a decent size with no head and a good amount of redness but not too painful. I will use the device again in 4 hours and then again in 4 hours. So this is my plan to make this pimple better. I'll keep using the device and l
  7. I recently started using Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion SPF 15. It smells great, goes on nice and smooth, doesn't make my skin extra greasy and has SPF in it. Perfect. It's expensive (around $45) but it's worth it. Let me know if you guys have any questions.
  8. ...if i could i would get an IPL once a month....but i think i will have to get a second job for that. lol
  9. I went to a very reputable dermatologist and asked him if there is anything I can do to help with my oily skin. He told me that a person's oily skin is determined by genetics and there are no creams or pills that could change the way a person's body produces oil. There is some truth to moisturizing making skin less oily, actually. Here is how it works. If we overdry our skin with washing, scrubbing and using acne products, then the skin feels that it needs to make more oil to overcompensate f
  10. Washing your skin more often that twice a day will make it dry which will irritate it and thus cause more breakouts. Even if you take showers 3 or 4 times a day, try just to wash your body but not your face. I have oily skin but because acne products are so drying, my skin gets extra dry if I wash my face more often, so this is me speaking from experience. Also, since my skin is oily, I have the same problem as you with my skin getting shiny during the day. I go to the bathroom at work and u
