  1. Are products with AHAs good for whiteheads and oily skin? I usually use SA but the store ran out of the product I was using so I picked up a different product. I usually use stridex pads with 2% SA but I had to switch to St.Ives scrub free exfoliating pads with AHA.
  2. Aloe Vera is drying for me, but if it's working well for you, great. If your too dry and peeling, add in some jojoba oil with the aloe Vera. SA exfoliates, so there's no need to exfoliate. SA will make you peel a bit. That means its working. Thanks for answering. I dont have any jojoba oil at the moment. I have vitamin e oil though. Would that be okay to use?
  3. I've heard aloe vera contains SA. I cleanse twice a day with cetaphil. I use stridex pads with 2% SA twice a day. I moisturize with aloe vera twice a day also. Aloe vera works well with my oily skin. I dont know if Im using too much SA and not moisturizing enough. Do you think I am? Also, am I suppose to exfoliate? I've started using SA about two weeks ago and havent exfoliated since. Yesterday, I noticed the skin on my forehead peeling and coming off in little balls.
  4. I have skin colored bumps with nothing inside them on my forehead and cheeks. My face is oily so are they just clogged pores? Products with benzoyl peroxide help get rid of them but they end up coming back later.
  5. Thank you for answering. You've put my mind at ease. Someone actually told me about coconut oil about a week ago but I didnt give much thought to it. I'll have to check it out now though!
  6. I was using aloe vera gel in a bottle as a moisturizer for my oily skin. Before I used cetaphil but it never seemed to fully absorb into my skin. For the past few days my skin has been dry and flaky. I thought it was from my BP cream but later I noticed there's alcohol in the aloe vera gel. Im thinking the alcohol is what dried out my face because I havent had problems with using my BP cream. I read the ingredients in the aloe vera bottle when I bought it but I must have not been thinking becaus
  7. Can I use my BP cream if I use aloe vera as a moisturizer? A friend of mine said the BP wont work if I use aloe vera after. Before I used cetaphil moisturizer but I like how aloe vera reduces my oilyness. Also, Is there a difference from aloe vera gel from the plant and after sun aloe vera gel in the bottle?
  8. Can I use both at the same time? I want to use 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream for acne and lemon juice for scars. How would I incorporate both of these products into my face routine?
  9. Hi, I just have a lot of clogged pores on my forehead that seem to only go away with benzoyl peroxide. I've also gotten whiteheads since I've started using it. Do you know if thats normal?
  10. I've tried using pads with 2% salicylic acid but they didnt do much. I've just started using an on the spot treatment with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. My face has gotten more whiteheads since I've started using benzoyl peroxide. Is this normal? Do you think salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide is better for whiteheads?
  11. I have a lot of whiteheads and I tend to pop them (bad? People have said so). What are some things that would cause whiteheads to scar? How would I know they have scarred?
  12. After my skin has cleared from using a product with 2.5% BP, will my skin get worse(or will acne reappear immediately) after I stop using it? Or should I continue to use it but not as much?
  13. I had the same thing a few weeks ago. Looks identical to what I had. I just used a gentle cleanser (cetaphil) and then a thin layer of Dalacin T topical solution just to keep the area clean and to also clear any bacteria. I also used a bit of moisturiser just to help with any dryness or irritation ... anyway it went away within two weeks ... well most of it did. I only have one or two little tiny bumps. Just be gentle with them, try not to aggravate them. For awhile I used cetaphil and stridex
  14. Hi, I have these annoying little bumps all over my forehead. There doesnt seem to be anything inside them and I cant pop them. Any idea what they're caused from and how to get rid of them?
