  1. So I thought it was time to come back and share my light therapy experience! So I had my first treatment in May of 2012 and then had my second treatment 5 weeks later. My first treatment I wore no makeup or moisturizer to the Derm office I just washed my face with my cleanser. I went in they did a 5 minute glycolic peel on my skin and then wiped it off with acetone. They put the Levulan on and I waited for an hour with it on. After that I went under the blue light for 4 minutes without the Levul
  2. Interested in your results! Keep us posted(:
  3. You know some people with oily skin hate it, others dont mind. Personally, I hate oily skin with a passion! My dad had oily skin, his brother and their parents so yeah I was doomed before I was even born. ha. But for months ive been searching for something to get rid of the oiliness and it is a very disappointing journey I must admit. You go to the Derms and they say sorry we cannot do anything for it and they act like your crazy for wanting to stop it so badly.(at least ive felt that way from h
  4. Okay thanks for the link! I havent heard of that allumera before very interesting though!
  5. I am not sure if this has been asked before, I know I have seen the questions about the product being frozen but not heat. It is 104 degrees outside today and I received my Aha from acne.org in the mail and the package/product was warm. Being in the mailbox in this heat didn't effect the product did it? Thanks!
  6. Yes both times were on my entire face. I do think my skin looks the same but then again I don't have before pictures to compare. Every flaw you have on your skin looks way worse when your face is that red/sunburned color. It really did upset me everyday I looked in the mirror. But when the redness completely goes away you start to see your skin the way it is normally and that sort of depresses you because your hoping to see flawless skin. I don't see any difference in anything as far as pore s
  7. I have had two of these treatments so far. I am still breaking out a bit, I most likely need a third. It did nothing for my red marks which bums me out, but Im going to try a third one hopefully and see how that goes. If anyone has any questions about this treatment I will be more than happy to answer.
  8. I have lots of red marks left from my acne and I was wondering if Dan's AHA will help? Anybody have any experience with it? I wanted to try this before I asked for something from the derm. Thanks!
  9. That is very interesting. Thanks for the information/advise! I will have to give this stuff a try! A little update - the yoghurt and tea tree didn't help for too long. I'm now trying head and shoulders shampoo and mandelic acid. Selsum blue and head and shoulder shampoo seem to have the best results for most people. I tried another dandruff shampoo and it worked on the bumps but it gave me huge boils as an allergic reaction. It was way too strong. Hopefully head and shoulders won't do that. The
  10. Yeah I feel the exact same way about my skin. I mean yeah getting rid of all my acne forever would be fantastic but I would still have this scarred/large pored/blotchy skin. My skin just has so many flaws I get upset just thinking about all the things wrong w/ it. Its not because Im vain and want to be perfect I just want to LOOK and FEEL normal thats all I want. But Im trying to get through it as best as I can. I have been making myself avoid mirrors and I no longer stare in the mirror for hour

  12. Yes I will be very glad to be done w/ these! haha. They wouldn't be so bad if they didn't leave your face a red/burnt mess. But I have heard they are having trials that use a form of green light instead of blue or red which is suppose to not leave your face red. So I am hoping that becomes available soon. As for work I currently do not have a job so I don't have to worry about going to work while I heal from this. But if I was working I would for sure take the first 48hrs after the treatment jus
  13. My next PDT is on June 11th so its coming up soon! My face was very red for a few days, it looked like a really bad sunburn. But I really didn't peel at all, just a tiny bit. I was told that it would help w/ the red marks left from acne also but I don't really see much of a difference w/ those from my first treatment. I had to stay indoors for 48hrs w/ sunscreen on & had to put an ice pack on my face every half hour to reduce swelling. So yeah I hope these treatments are worth it because the
