  1. Tsk! Overdosing on junk food is bad. lol. I'm just using Alba Hawaiian's Coconut Milk cleanser and Lomalux's Acnepill. The dryness of my skin from tons of acne products such as BP has finally removed itself this week, and my skin looks way better than it did before. It could be a fluke, but I'll see in 3-4 weeks.
  2. I've had good experiences with Differin in the past. I hope it clears you up.
  3. Sodium Laureth Sulfate bothers my skin as well. I'll look into this kit.
  4. Yeah, I think i'll give it a month as well. It can't be any worse than BP.. I hope. Or, I may try this cleanser to help heal my skin from all the harsh acne medicines i've used. Ultra Calming Cleanser by Dermalogica. I can't say if it'll work or not, but eh.. worth a try.
  5. My experience with BP? Well, it's a horrifying story that I truly don't know how to start.. j/k. Well, I was on Dan's regimen for a while due to my friend raving about it. I took it slowly and carefully, as Dan said. It made my skin really red and irritated, but I kept with it and saw vast improvement for a while, until my skin decided to turn a 180, which brought back my acne AND more blackheads than i've ever had. I decided to keep with it for a while, but its charm finally faded and I quit
  6. wow. i never really thought much about trying AHA until reading through these. i'll give it a try, since i really don't feel like going back to bp.
  7. yeah, i think i'm allergic to it or something. my scalp itches constantly, and i get a lot of blackheads. also, i was using a tea tree oil cleanser without laureth sulfate, and my eyes weren't irritated (and no, i don't get the cleanser close to my eyes) yet, when i use ones with laureth, my eyes look kind of bloodshot. i don't know if it's a coincidence, or not.
  8. I don't get it. Some websites i've been to says to avoid laureth sulfate, even though it's way more gentle than lauryl sulfate, yet.. almost every cleanser, including acne cleansers, has laureth sulfate in it. hell, even most shampoos use it. if it supposedly clogs pores, why does all these products tend to use it?
  9. http://www.acne-advice.com/treatments/blackheads.shtml it seems to have all the good info i've found on one website.
  10. I was reading on a website, and it said people prone to acne and blackheads should avoid shampoos that have sodium lauryl sulphate or sodium laureth sulphate. it seems every shampoo i have right now has those, and i'm thinking they're what is causing my hair to itch and breakout. i get blackheads around my ears and on my neck. is there a shampoo without these ingredients?
  11. Has anyone tried this cleanser yet? Olay Moisture balancing foaming face wash with Vitamin E My skin's ph balance is way off. My face has become really dry, yet I get major blackheads and kind of Moderate acne. I'm thinking of trying this one or Eucerin's Clear Skin Formula Pore Purifying Foaming Wash
  12. Aveda all Cleanser and Aveda all Moisturizer They're kind of expensive, but i'd pay that much if they helped my irritated skin. It seems most products make my skin really dry and irritated, so I'm thinking of trying these and wondering if anyone has.
  13. definitely affected mine. i was always a shy kid, but when i started breaking out, it became even worse. i had to deal with the snobby kids in my school making fun of me for it, and it really turned me into an insecure person. i think if i didn't get the net when i was 13 or so, i probably would have gone insane.

  15. I don't know. I've only used it once and it bothered my skin.. but, I did read this review from a cosmetic shop site I go to. "Basis Sensitive Skin Bar ($2.29 for 4 ounces) is a fairly standard bar cleanser that contains ingredients that can be irritating or problematic for sensitive skin. Although the Vaseline and plant oil in this product can mitigate that problem, why use any problematic ingredients to begin with?"
