  1. Hi guys, I have been researching about keloid scars thoroughly and I found some possible causes. I think I have a keloid myself, and I am trying to cure it as well. Hopefully by spreading this information it will help with curing their keloids as well, and finding out possibly other ways to cure it by using this information. Ok, so, based on my research these may be causes and cures: 1. Telomere – it was proven that keloids have short telomere, telomere is connected with aging. In order to len
  2. Hi guys, so, you might know about my problem, hypertrophic scar on nose. Well, I massaged it month and week ago with castor oil, which improved and worsened the scar, since there was worsening, I decided to keep the oil within boundaries, therefore massaged it with qtip, which was a bad idea, because it made scar more swelled up, scab turned on half of it, scar became bigger and wider. During last month, I have been observing changes, scar has been raising up a little bit more, and widening a
  3. Hi guys, does anyone have any hypertrophic scars? Especially on nose? Is there any hope to fix them? Has anyone managed to achieve improvement, or flattening? I cannot use silicone based products, since I have seberrhoeic dermatitis. I used Kelo-Cote and it only made my scar worse, not sure if due to my skin condition or not, but that may be the reason. Thanks
  4. After coming back home after New Year's Eve I did something that made my scar even worse. It is on nose. Scar is now more raised and visible than it was during last 5 years (I have a hypertrophic scar btw). I have been feeling extremelx, and I mean extremely depressed since then. I cannot take this anymore , this is just too much for me to handle mentally. Way too much. If you want to know what happened, search my other thread . Thank you.
  5. Thank you, this is very frustrating though :(, scar is still raised, and it has been approximately 20 hours since I did what I did. Do you think it is also swelling, since there is very slightly white part of scar (above the scab),it does not hurt, but when I push on the scar, whole scar becomes red? Rest of the skin is not so "sensitive". Thank you.
  6. So do you think that this is just swelling? There is visible scab on half of my scar, on other half I can't really see anything. But there is still kind of white circle (that is visible under one particular light). When I push the scar, whole scar becomes red, rest of my skin does not react like that. Scar does not hurt, but part where is scab sometimes burns very slightly. Do you think that scar is more visible due to both visible scab, and perhaps also due to possible swelling or invisible sca
  7. HI guys, I have been massaging castor oil into my hypertrophic scar with my finger normally for a week. Yesterday (12 hours ago) I tried doing it with qtip (cotton ball), and I probably pushed harder, or something, I do not know. Scar became red and swollen, and then a slight scab formed, on part of the scar. However, right after massage the scar was white, from pressing harder I guess. Scar is still red, with a scab, and it is bigger than it was before. Scar is on my nose. Do you think I damag
  8. Hi guys, has anyone tried to scratch your scars with a needle? It is just a thought. I myself have hypertrophic scars, and since they are longer, maybe scratching the surface of skin with a needle would after a looong time exfoliate the skin, and would also have same, if not better effect than needling, since there would be more damage to skin? Has anyone tried it?
  9. I have been searching for a way to reduce these myself, what I have been searching for is something that would work on hypertrophic scars, this is what I have found: I found hemorrhoid cream that works on hypertrophic scars, essential oils, enzymes (serraptetase and nattokinase), vitalzym (enzymes+other ingredients), manuka honey and manuka oil, then gotu kola, sangre de drago, massages, needling, silica "drink", florasil, micropore tape (and other tapes), thyme oil, tamanu oil, vinegar method,
  10. Let me clarify what you are dealing it. You have raised (hypertrophic scars), these occur when there was deeper damage to skin done, that means, it affected deeper layer of skin. I have them myself, on my nose. 2 by cystic pimple, 1 by microdermabrasion.
  11. Microdermabrasion, and dermabrasion are both very risky, I had it done on my raised (hypertrophic) scar on my nose, and nurse screwed up, and left me with another raised scar. I had microdermabrasion done, it is less risky than dermabrasion. If you really want to do it, let someone EXTREMELY experienced handle this. Research until you find someone reliable, and tell him what EXACTLY you want to have done, and tell him/her that they should not push harder. Nurse that was doing it was pushing norm
  12. What about hyperthropic (raised/bumpy/puffy,etc.) scars? Could aha or any other peel do it's job?
  13. Yeah, these are hyperthropic, I have 2 myself. I will make it easier for you. 14. Hi guys, I have read quite a lot about healing properties of castor oil. It has managed to flatten surgical scars (which are usually hyperthropic), that were even old ones, also burn scars (which resulted in darker skin&athropic scarring),various accident scars. Look at these 2 links: It was most effective when it was used consistently, especially by wrapping it in a cloth or plastic. http://skinverse.com/how-castor-oil-healed-my-scar-with-before-and-after-photos.html http://ww
