  1. Wow, I can't believe it's been over 9 months since I started this thread and it's been over 7 months since I've been back on here. I'm not going to lie, I stopped getting on here, because I felt like my journey was not going to have the results I wanted and I felt like posting about it would only be more discouraging for others. Plus, to constantly see things working for people and nothing working for me was discouraging for myself. Although now my skin is clear and I came back here to share wha
  2. Hang in there girl. I am right there with ya. I'm still breaking out some. :-/ whats your regimen like? I've been trying to tweak mine because I think that has something to do with it.
  3. I'm wondering the SAME THING! I don't think I've gotten more oily, but I still am a bit oily in my T-Zone and everyone that it works for says they weren't oily at all anymore! I ALSO am on Loestrin, well LoLoestrin. Do you think that could have something to do with it? Also how is your skin and oil now? I see it's been a while. Hi! Your post reminded me about this log so thanks for that. I'm on day 68 now and still significantly oily in my t-zone, and I agree that I havent seen a reduction. I h

  5. Day 100 I know I posted yesterday, but I felt the need to today since it's day 100. I have now reached triple digits haha. I have no pimples right now actually! I have some clogged pores and red marks, but no pimples. My skin has been peely because of all the irritation I caused it last week, but I've been VERY gentle with it the last two days and will continue to do so. I doubt this is the last of my breakouts. This is usually what happens, I start clearing then breakout again. Only time wil
  6. So I' not gonna give my whole long sob story. Although, if you wanted to hear most of it it's in the hormonal logs forum. I'm on 150 mg of spironolactone. I've been on spiro for 99 days today. Probably about 1- 1 1/2 months on 150mg, before that 100mg, and for the first two weeks or so just 50mg. Spiro is supposed to help TREMENDOUSLY with oily skin basically right away. While I have noticed a decrease I can't say I'm not oily anymore. I have a theory that a lot of it has to do with my obsession
  7. Day 99 So I'm sorry I haven't been updating much, although I don't know if people even really read this haha. I still don't have clear skin although right now I have HEALING skin from my last breakout. I know I mentioned in my first post that I suffer from BDD, I also in turn suffer from a form of OCD. What it comes down to is that I have a skin picking problem which is common in BDD and OCD sufferers. I never thought I had a real problem because I KNEW it was bad to pick, but I looking back
  8. Just wanted to see how you were doing! I hope you're hanging in there. I know what you mean about the stress of marks. I used to never have problems with marks, but when I started spiro and my breakouts got worse and more frequent I began to get marks. The most frustrating part was when you have marks from your last breakout then get a NEW breakout! The ONLY sort of good news is that my breakouts are getting less frequent.. just wish they weren't there! Don't get discouraged! I always thought th
  9. I heard someone else talking about breaking out after throwing up as well! I don't know if it was from dairy or a food allergy though. They made it sound like it was just from being sick. So I'm sure the throwing up in general didn't help at all! You'll be back to clear before you know it!
  10. Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS! That must be the best feeling in the world and I am so happy for you! I am going on 14 weeks (about 3 1/2 months tomorrow) and have been feeling so discouraged and your post really made me feel better! I don't know if you have/had oily skin, but did you notice spironolactone help with that? I still have an oily T-Zone and am worried that means that spiro won't work for me.
  11. I know! It is so frustrating! I had been using Retin-A Micro up till about 3 weeks ago. I felt that Retin-A Micro was making my skin WAY to sensitive. It would bleed so easily and scab! I went back to Differin, which is what I used to use. The Differin is a lot easier on my skin. However, I don't remember having this many clogged pores on Retin-A Micro. I'm going to try doing Retin-A Micro once or twice a week now at night.
  12. Thanks for the tip surfnyc! I got samples of makeup forever when I went and got bareminerals! I haven't tried it out yet tho. I should! Day 94 I am still not clear. I am still breaking out, just not as bad. LOTS of clogged pores. Actually, that is the majority of my acne right now. I still have an oily T-Zone still. I don't know why since I've been taking 150mg and even got the approval from my derm. I'm concerned about the oil. My hair isn't oily anymore, but my T-Zone is. I'm definitely
  13. Do you have tiny little bumps all over your chin and around your nose and stuff? Is that what you mean by little bumps? Because that is what seems to have happened to me! I have a bunch of tiny bumps that you can see when the skin is stretched out and stuff!
  14. Could I ask you a question? I have been on spiro for what will be 13 weeks tomorrow, so about three months. It's been within the last couple weeks that I have really noticed a decrease in acne. I am on 150 mg. But started on 50, then was on 100 for a few weeks too. I still get oily in my T-Zone though. It has definitely improved, but I have always heard about people who said they never got oily anymore after being on spiro. Do you still get a bit oily? Also, I am the kind of person that goes up
  15. Don't be discouraged! I know EXACTLY how you feel! I have felt like that way a lot the last couple months! At 5 weeks of spiro my face was a disaster! I had the two worst outbreaks of my life that month. BUT I am finally breaking out less and less. I have finally hit the 12 week mark today. I know that feeling of not wanting to leave your apartment. I have felt that on way too many occasions and after seeing how my skin looked about 1-2 months in on spiro I felt even more discouraged! But don't
