  1. Not that this matters, but I was switched from 100mg Solodyn(1X per day) to 50mg generic minocycline (2X per day). This was due to the fact that my insurance refused to cover the Solodyn, which was 950$ for a months supply, due to the fact that a 2X per day generic equivelent was 1/100th the cost of the Solodyn. Thats American healthcare I guess lol. But yeah. Overall, I guess my face is starting to look a little better, but I guess its still too early to tell.
  2. Hi, I have discontinued the Epiduo, and am now on Ziana, Solodyn, and Sumadan. Please see my new Posting @ http://www.acne.org/...adan-wash-logs/

  4. Yes, I take the Solodyn at approximately 8:00pm, which is about the same time I apply the Ziana. Then in the morning (in between 5:00am and 6:00am, I take a couple of my multivitamins, which have probiotics in them. I have always taken the multivitamins, so thats nothing new. Do you guys think that it is ok for me to wash my face with Clean&Clear salicylic acid soap while im in the shower, right before I wash with the Sumadan? Thats what I have been doing, because it seems to make my skin ve
  5. I have just seen my dermatologist, and she has given me topical Ziana, oral Solodyn, and Sumadan wash (to use in the shower). I have tried Clearasil, Duac, Differin, and Epiduo in the past, none of which have demonstrated much efficacy. Hopefully an oral antibiotic will help, plus a stronger topical treatment and the Sumadan to back it up. Please feel free to post anything you want on this (Suggestions, concernes, personal stories, or even the weather in LA!) Anything you want. Also, if anyone
  6. I have now been on Epiduo for almost 5 months. Before Epiduo I was on regular Differin (The part of Epiduo that takes 12 weeks to work) for about 4 months. So all in all, there has never been a day in the past 9 months where I have not applied Adapalene to my face. Theoretically, it should have made my face crystal clear by now. Its not. My derm refuses to give me an oral antibiotic for it on the grounds that it breeds "Resistant bacteria". I don't care, I want a clear face. Why the hell don't y
  7. Saw my dermatologist, she kept me on Epiduo, but she added Sumadan Wash to my regimin. My face gets better, then breaks out. Gets better, then breaks out. Very frustrating.

  9. Thanks Clare... I plan on staying on Epiduo unless my dermatologist changes my plan when I see him in 6 weeks. Oh and sash, I have been on Epiduo for about 8 weeks now, and yes it can be irritating. Sometimes it's not irritating at all, and sometimes it is. But usually a quick application of moisturizer fixes it.
  10. Thanks for all of the well wishes... I will be seeing my dermatologist soon, where I hope to develop a more comprehensive treatment plan. Has anyone heard of "Ziana"? It is apparently a combination of 0.025% tretinoin, and 1.2% clindamycin, and it has the highest clinical effiacy rates that I have seen in any of the topical retinoids or antibiotics prescribing information.
  11. It clears, then breaks out, then clears, then breaks out. It is very frustrating. Today I went to the doctors because a pustule became a staph infection again, so I was given bactrim antibiotics. I think that I will ask to take bactrim long term, as its efficacy for acne is very profound. Does anyone have any experience with bactrim? It clears, then breaks out, then clears, then breaks out. It is very frustrating. Today I went to the doctors because a pustule became a staph infection again, s
  12. Yeah i'll definitely keep at it, at least until my dermatologist has a chance to evaluate my skin.
  13. I am quickly loosing faith in this regimen my doctor put me on. Overall, I would say I'm 20-25% better off than I was 17 weeks ago, and thats on a good day. I will be seeing a dermatologist in a months time, so maybe I can develop a more comprehensive treatment plan with him. What would you guys recommend I ask him? I was thinking of requesting some antibiotics, such as doxycycline. My acne is not nearly severe enough for Accutane, so thats out of the question. Has anyone tried Tazorac/Retin-A?
