  1. MsBubbleTea,

Do you have any updates on your treatment with Lutronic Infini since it’s been about a week? Do you feel that your acne scars have improved or do you just see holes all over your face and still redness post-treatment?

I am thinking of getting this done myself as I’ve done fraxel several times in my past over several years with some improvement.

  2. fraxel,

thank you for your recommendation in the dr. i emailed him and am currently awaiting his reply. i pray that there is hope for us all who suffer through these painstaking skin problems. i dont know what is worse, to have many small scars coagulated or to have one large scar as the focal point...

  3. I have ice pick and boxcar scars...an innumerable, uncountable amount predominantly on my cheeks, and I have really pale Korean skin, so the red spotted and pitted scars stand out excessively. They are about 1-3 mm in diameter and I have an countless amount of scarred pores all over too, my nose and cheeks...

I need desperate help with a good doctor you’d recommend that is located around South Bay, LA, or even OC area...Please help me, I’ve had these scars for almost 10 years and I am losing hope...everytime I look in the mirror I just want to die...

  4. Hi everyone,

I am Korean, so I have light, yellow undertone skin, but I wanted to try out this Joppa line.

Any of you experienced Joppa fanatics know which mineral foundation color I would come closest to??

I have photos in my album u can see too with ugly red blemishes that I need help in covering up.

    Please help me thank you!

  5. What topical regimen do you use during your TCA cross treatments?

Is the "do nothing" regimen best for healing? or do u recommend things like neosporin, copper peptides, retin-a, rose hip oil, emu oil, etc, for the whole month in between crosses?

    thank u for any advices!!

  6. i will keep all this good stuff in mind, and just wait some months since

i guess i have nothing to lose..just pray that my skin doesn't get worse though...

and be sure definitely to neveeer do any more facial peels or anything

aggressive to my skin while im doing my TCA treatments, after making

    that blasted mistake...

so far after about 2 tca crosses and 3 wks...by scars look more noticeable.

BUT they do look a tad lil bit less discolored, because they were quiet red before.

i guess TCA wasn't meant to be...and i have lost this game of patience.

i should just give up and go hide in the corner for the rest of my life...

No Vicky, you should just learn patience! TCA cross could prove to be a great solution for many, from everything I read but you have to wait and see it through.

It seems that the best thing to do is to leave skin alone as much as possible after the cross. Not do anything irritating in the 4-6 weeks or so after the cross.

You've suffered for years from acne and scars, what's another few months of being patient in the big scheme of your life, that's meant to rid you of this pest?

Think about the end result :D

  7. i am 22 years old...

uhoh i am soo stupid...i just did a charcoal peeling mask on my skin last nite

and it really irritated my newly sensitive skin....

now my scabs look more hideous than ever as it ripped off my skin cells probably.

    i am soooo stupid!!!

    To you 50 percent people,

The Korean study showed that best results came from the 100 percent solution.

Also the minimum tested percentage in the study for cross was 65 percent [pretty sure] which did not yield results anywhere near as effective.

    Hi Femina,

I did TCA cross 50% on several ice pick scars and some scarred pores for my second application and some for my first time (as i have alot of icepick/boxcar type scars)...

but they seem to be more prominent looking after 3 weeks of doing the cross treatment...shouldn't it be looking more filled in and improved? i am losing hope, and feel that maybe TCA was a mistake on my skin, since the scars look bigger and more raw to me after all these weeks passed by...

should i even continue onto my 2nd and 3rd TCA cross?? i don't want thigns to look worse than they already are =(

Do you mind if i ask your age?

Most "young people" [lets say under 30] should be fully healed by the 4-6 week mark.

Wait it out till week 6 [incase your a slow healer] and decide if its actually gotten worse.

If it has, then dont do TCA cross again, its just not for you. I believe anime girl had a cross go bad, some people are just like that.

Perhaps needling would be a good alternative?

Also, new collagen is very weak and fragile, its important to not exfoliate the area or scrub for the entire month.

Do not pick the scab or irritate the skin, this can also hinder the healing process.

Vicky, I can't make any "promises" but from your description it sounds exactly like it was for almost everybody else who did it. With a few exceptions, almost everybody said they looked worse until 3-4 weeks after cross and then started "filling in".

    Don't despair.

thank u HopeSprings. your reply has gave me a lil bit more motivation to go on a couple more wks

with patience... TCA sure seems like a game of patience.

do u think it is ok to put on retin-a in the morning and supercop at nite to enhance collagen growth?

cuz that is my new regimen for the time being...thank u once again.

  10. thank u guys so much for your responses.

i have purchased rose hip mosquita/rose hip seed oil from whole food market, and the worker there said that it was suppose to help alot with scars more than their other oils.

i hope it doesn't cause any breakouts...but i will inform if there are any improvements with rosehip or breakouts.

  11. I wanted to know the difference between 50% and 100% TCA Cross, and the overall efficiency of one over the other? I have ice pick scars, and I know 50% would be recommended to begin with...I did do a few ice picks with the 50% but it's only been about 2 wks to notice any difference after my first time too. I wanted to try out 100% because I'm hoping that there will be less applications and more collagen growth due to the higher burn percentage.

  12. I used 50% on 3 icepicks, to test trial...so far I notice just a slight change of fill ins on day 4.

but i bet it is temporary for now...I was wondering what the difference was between

50% and 100% TCA cross, because I am considering 100% to get the max results

of collagen buildup in a quicker amount of time hopefully.

Thank you, any advice is much appreciated.

  13. vicky,

What are your scars like and how old are they? TCA peels in low percentages don't do much for scarring and TCA peels in strengths that may help scarring can really lead to more damage and cause pigmentation issues for asian skin. TCA CROSS is probably the most effective treatment for asian skin if you have well defined scars like boxcars and icepicks. Emu oil is okay cause keeping your skin moist can help minimize new scarring and help heal any recent damage. The jury is still out for me on copper peptides as it seems most people say it takes 2 or more years to get even shallow scars out (which I typically think these might have healed on their own over this lengthy amount of time).

my scars are around 5 yrs old, various icepick and boxcars (in my gallery). i did TCA peel of about 30-35% for my first time, 9 days ago and don't notice much of a difference unfortunately, like u said. u recommend TCA cross? i hope it wont lead to worse scarring or allow me to be cooped up in the house longer haha. i still have a vial of TCA 50% sitting here...should i use that for cross? thank you for your advice.

  14. vicky how is your peel going?

so on day 9 i am still peeling...i wish it would hurry up already! i want to be

able to put on makeup and go outside more. but so far, i noticed from underneath

the peeled off skin, my scars look practically the same =(((...just one of my

big noticeable scars looks a lil filled in or it just looks wider cuz it was a big

ice pick scar and now it looks somewut like a flatter boxcar (still noticeable though)

so i dunon which was better haha. sigh...i am losing hope in any treatment now...
