  1. That might have been part of the problem, as my skin never felt like it was oil free after washing. Still not going to give it another shot
  2. I am 100% sure that the OCM was the reason for the breakout. Maybe other oils wouldn't have had this effect, but the ones I used did. The reason the breakout lasted for months is that it got inflamed. My whole life I have never broken out like this and the doctors I saw confirmed that oils can do that to acne prone skin.
  3. I read positive things about the OCM and since I always tend to break up a bit during the summer (looking back this is nothing), I decided to try it last October. 10 days into it (I used jojoba & castor oil) I noticed that I started to break out. I immediately stopped the OCM. 6 weeks later I had horrible cystic acne all over my chin that kept getting worse by the day and started to expand to my cheeks and neck. I have never had acne like this before; never more than maybe 2-3 pimples at a t

    Stay away!

    Stay away!

I am prone to getting hormonal acne around my mouth. Normally it's not bad and I can live with it. When I started taking flaxseed oil it got horrible and I only realized after weeks that this was the reason. I also think that I started to smell differently (maybe not true though). I stopped taking it immediately and it still took months for me to get back to normal. I think it's due to the phytoestrogens it contains. Many people are estrogen dominant anyways, especially if you suffer from hormon
  6. thanks for answering. maybe i do need to try a different laser. i would have to stop the bp in the area where i want to get a laser treatment, am i right?
  7. i'm not sure if i'm right here... i got acne scars all over my forehead from when i had some pimples when i was 12. now i'm 25. i have tried different things to get rid of them, for example the co2 laser. but they are still very visible. i'm thinking about trying a scar cream, but i can't imagine that this could help. do any of you have experience with any creams for scars? on the internet i heard about "xeragel"...or maybe you got any other suggestions? also, i'm using bp on my chin - i g
  8. i'm only using BP on my chin as well and sometimes i use too much at night and my skin will be way too dry in the morning. then i would not use any BP in the monring to get rid of the dryness, so far it's working. so i guess you don't need as much as dan uses for his whole face - just use it proportionally. and if you skip it in the morning sometimes becaue you feel you're getting too flakey, it should be fine, at least it is for me and i used to break out badly only in the chin area, like you.
  9. hey sorry to hear. i was going to the initial breakout due to the regimen around xmas and new year's - perfect timing ^^ what helped me though was using some noncomedogenic compact powder, because it takes away the shine and redness. maybe you should consider this option at least when you're going out for example to meet your old friend, because it might make you feel better. at least this is how i feel. my initial breakout lasted about 3 weeks and now my skin is clear. looking back it doesn't
  10. okay so i've been on the regimen for a little longer than 3 months now. the last two months were very stressful for me and during that time i still broke out at times. for about 2 weeks now though i stopped breaking out although my stresslevels were at their highest. i think the regimen just started to work. there were so many situations when i had stomach cramps because of stress during the last two weeks and i was sure i'd break out very badly, but nothing happened. it has to be the regimen wo
  11. i'm using a waterbased sunscreen for allergic skin which is oil- and scent-free. i live in europe and you can only buy it at pharmacies. but i'm loving it.
  12. hey i'm so sorry you feel this way. i also often think "i could be really pretty, if i didn't have these spots and scars.." there is one thing that used to help me, but after about 3 months it always stops working. it's somethng homeopathic that my mom recommended (she knows a little bit about this stuff). it's called selenium. i never believed in this kind of approach, but when i tried it for the first time during a bad breakout it started working right away. and like i said it kept working f
  13. haha yeah i didn't realize it was the b5 in the beginning either. but i'm pretty sure it was. you should drink more, it helps, and after a week or two the headache will fade anyways maybe you should check out the regimen, you can find the how to on this site [get clear] i feel like the b5 helps building up muscles, or helps me burn fat. but i'm not sure.
  14. hey, i have tried b5 for 3 years or something. i didn't really do much for me. it does make your skin less oily (which is nice), but it did not affect my acne problem at all.what i remember is that i had a bad headache the first few days. today i am still taking like 2 g a day, just to reduce the oiliness. also i think it makes my workout more effective ^^ why didn't BP work for you? did you try the regimen? cuz i'm givin that one a shot right now... hope b5 works for ya!
  15. i'm just wondering if spending a day at the beach is still possible, without a higher risk than usual, when using BP and SPF... or would you recommend not going at all, if possible? i'm just not sure how much more sensitive your skin is during BP usage. if you're using BP & SPF will you be just as well protected as when you're not using BP but SPF?
