  1. I used to stress about the answers to questions like these before I started on Accutane. Wanted to know when to expect what. But what I found out is you really can't predict it. Hopefully it'll work as fast as you want it to though. ; )
  2. if it helps any... i had real bad chapped lips for the first month and 1/2 - 2 months but now it's not so extreme (as long as my chapstick is with me). maybe i have gotten used to it, but it really doesn't seem as bad. i don't even really notice it now (and chapped lips is a big pet peeve of mine).
  3. bumping an old thread here but I was doing a search for accutane and emotions and I found this. This person described their emotions changing after Accutane... getting mad or happy in the snap of a finger. Well, I am on month 3 and it's like I am permanently PMSing. I don't think it's depression but, (girls will know) it's like i have a short fuse one minute, then I am just on this natural high and in the best mood, then I'm about to cry. Sometimes my head gets cloudy and i don't even know
  4. I never got any acne scars (un-sure how) but I've always gotten the huge cysts and nodules. Anyhow, I've always been one to get red/purple marks. But they would usually fade in a month or so and now since going on accutane it's like my skins reginerative powers have been put on pause because every blemish I had when I started accutane (1.5 months ago) is still there or either a mark is there. It really sucks because I feel like my skin is really f-ed up at the moment, even though i don't have
  5. My insurance charges me 7 bucks co-pay for Amnesteem. When I went for my refill, I tried to get Accutane and insurance wanted me to pay $750. I laughed, and took the Amnesteem.
  6. My blackheads started surfacing majorly after about 3 weeks. I left them alone and after about a week and a half, I looked in the mirror one day and noticed that most of them were gone/clear (the nose blackheads). Pretty crazy. Hopefully the rest of my skin will follow along in that direction.
  7. Does anyone know how long it takes for the red marks to go away? I've been on accutane for about 1 and 1/2 months and I'm breaking out but have a few red/purple marks from blemishes that I had just before going on accutane. i hate them, they seem to stand out more in pictures.
  8. Thanks for the advice everyone, I think I will take a break from accutane until this funk I got now goes away. It's weird because I usually never get sick. I went to the doctor today and got some good meds to make me better. oh and I'm not a dude.
