  1. Hey guys, have any of you figured out a way to dry up and shrink those big under the skin acne? The kind that doesn't get a white head? They are just kinda bumpy red spots.... Would putting a glob of BP on them help?
  2. How much desitin do you use? I pretty much have been using a little, and rubbing it in, theres not much residue when im done applying. Do you guys use more? DO you guys use the desitin creamy or ointment?

  4. I was just thinking today about something that helped my acne..... A while back I switched from a blade razor over to an electric one. I found it irritates my skin much less than a blade and if i have a scab or a zit it wont nick it.... Some people on here said that they dont get a close shave with one, ive never had a problem with that but maybe that is the reason more people dont use them. Anyway, just thought id share that in case it may help anyone... On another note here, fill out my
  5. Wierd that an electric doesnt work for you... is it a rotary 3 head one? As long as I go over my face 2 or 3 times with it its just as close as a blade, and the major plus is that it doesnt irritate my face, and doesnt pop open zits.
  6. Also, Ive heard a lot of people say that they think there is a quality control problem at elicina. They say that one jar of the creme worked very well for them (reduced redness and helped with shallow scars) and didnt make them break out, while another jar didnt do crap and gave em zits all over. One thing I was thinking is that reading on the elicina info it looks like its pretty much just a exfoliator (like alpha hyroxy) and some vitamins and all. So people may see the same results with
  7. I used elicina, mainly to get rid of my red marks ( i dont have a lot of scars, but some) and it made me break out pretty bad, so i had to quit. I think that the thing with all creams and such for scars is that they work very slowly if they work at all. So unless you use them for like 4 or 5 months and be regular about it, I dont really see why people should expect improvement. Just my 2 cents.
  8. Well I figure if I go down there all pale I'll burn pretty bad. So if I can get tanned up here before I go that seems like a safer way to me. I was mainly just curious if there is any truth to what some people have said about melanin in red marks coming up. I always figured the red marks were more from like capillaries or something like that. BUt some people have said that there is pigment in them that will tan much differently than the rest of your skin. I'm not sure what to think. Da
  9. hey guys, sorry about the multiple posts. when you go to post and click submit and it takes a while, dont click submit again, thats why I ended up posting 3 times accidentally. just thought id let you guys know.
  10. I just started using the desitin a few days ago. One thing I've noticed is that my skin is actually seeming to get drier. This seems pretty wierd since the desitin it self seems pretty moisturizing. Anyone else have this happen? Not sure yet if it is helping the spots, my skin feels better though, like less bumpy and all.

  13. Do you think it will make me break out a lot? I put Desitin on tonight, I guess I'll leave it on all night....... It has cod liver oil in it, that may be bad for the acne, I guess I'll see.
  14. You ought to get an electric razor. It is really so much nicer. You can get a cheap one for like 20 bucks. One you try it you;ll like it. I dont need shaving cream or anything with it..
  15. Yeah I'm much more worried about the red spots then about breaking out a little. You don't notice any increase in redness of the spots when you tan? Also, when the tan wears off and you start to get white again do the red spots look more red than before you tanned? Thanks
