  1. try head and shoulders shampoo and give it a few weeks.
  2. do they crust over in a honey color? could be staph/impetigo
  3. I had some clogged pores and started on PC 2% gel...it made everything a lot worse. I gave it a few weeks but my chin got really red and the clogged pores worsened. I didn't see any improvement whatsoever. It wasn't even as though anything was coming to the surface! Just more clogging all around.
  4. Yeah I actually stopped using her 2% gel and my skin has calmed down a lot. I still have some stubborn clogged pores on my chin. Just can't figure out what causes them.
  5. BHA does this to my skin, it's like an irritation from it I believe, or i'm not sure if the BHA is trying to exfoliate my skin but just creates these closed comedones instead from it. Either way, I avoid BHA and stick to BP and retinoids. As weird as it sounds, i'll take allergy pills and put some calamine on them and it helps get rid of them faster. That's so interesting! I have never heard that about BHA other than people just being sensitive to it (redness, etc.) The only reason I started t
  6. I would love to hear people's advice too. Last week, I went to buy some MAC Studio Fix powder foundation and bronzer because they were given a high rating from the "Cosmetic Cop" Paula Begoun. After I wore it a couple times I got on these and other boards and learned that people have cursed MAC and also their studio fix line for clogging pores and creating problem skin. Before that, I used bare minerals for two years before realizing I break out from it (could have to do with my nickel and

  9. Because I am worried that they will do the typical "antibiotics + topical" when that has never worked for me in the past. I have been seen by 5-6 dermatologists over the past 8 years. I think I have been on antibiotics so much in fact that it's contributing to other problems. Anyone have an issue with the cerave moisturizer before with clogged pores?
  10. Thanks. I am definitely working on my diet and seeing if that will help. I am thinking of cutting out the cerave moisturizer and going back to Dan's. Thinking it may be the culprit of these clogged pores. I am just worried that my skin won't turn over naturally if I don't use any products at all.
  11. Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated.... I have never had great skin, but have never seen my skin like this and it is getting increasingly worse. I have been using Paula's Choice 2% gel for 2-3 weeks nightly without improvement. Then, I thought this may be some kind of pityrosporum folliculitis so I have used Nizoral the last two days. (leave on for 3 mins in shower) It seems as though my skin gets worse throughout the day and the most clogged pores show up at night. They are c
  12. Thanks ill be sure to update!
  13. Did it go away completely? Did you stop using the nizoral? I just got my nizoral yesterday and use it while showering for the first time. It dried the heck out of my skin. I'm hopin it works though.
