  1. I wouldnt advice it but you could try megadosing on vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid). Try another derm first.
  2. Hi all. A couple of months back, I came over this website in regards to meth users and their symptoms/disabilites. Many of these users get something called "meth bugs" where they hallucinate or imagine that bugs are litteraly crawling through their skin which leads to picking of their skin. Also, methamphetamine tend to cause mild to moderate acne, especially on the face. As a result to this, many users develop picking habits which they carry on even after being clean for months. Now the inte
  3. Straight off FDA's pdf on Accutane: Accutane can increase the pressure in your brain. This can lead to permanent loss of eyesight and, in rare cases, death. Stop taking Accutane and call your doctor right away if you get any of these signs of increased brain pressure: • bad headache • blurred vision • dizziness • nausea or vomiting • seizures (convulsions) • stroke • vision problems. Accutane may affect your ability to see in the dark. This condition usua
  4. "just to get rid of their zits is beyond me" - Do you know why this is beyond you? The answer is simply because you've obviously never suffered from acne the way most of us do. A zit is not just a zit to many of us here, its a life threatening disease which RUINS LIVES. Get it? Depression Social phobia Anxiety disorders Impaired self-image and self-esteem Social dysfunction Reduced quality of life .. is just some of the MANY psychological effects acne victims have to deal with. Dont y
  5. I've had dry skin all my life and derm prescribed me accutane without problems so I dont think you should worry too much. That said, you must be very disiplined and moisturize at all cost. If you are going on Accutane, I suggest you get Cerave moisturizing lotion as this will also hydrate your skin. I use it everyday for severe dry skin and it does wonders for my skin, nothing can compare. But first things first, get an appointment with your derm!
  6. Hey, I'll be following your log from here on out. Keep on posting!
  7. Jikes, this doesnt look good. I'm slowly getting worried because I would rather want acne than have to live with this vision/concentration problem post treatment. Am I just getting paranoid? "I took accutane 2 courses and it's been 8 years since finishing and my skin is dry along with eyes, lips, hair and is falling out, nasal, mouth. I have blurry eyes vision is bad gets very irritated watching or concentrating on things. My breathing has never been the same since starting accutane, Inflamma
  8. Thank god, I am not alone on this. I will definitely take your advice, maybe it'll get better. Do you use eyedrops atm? Thanks! Sorry, forgot to mention. Yes, this is my fifth day all together. I'm a bit afraid to call my derm tbh, because I have been trough war and hell to get on this drug. I'm afraid that if I do tell him, maybe he will get me off it right away. For now, I'll just stick with it a bit longer and see what happends. Cheers
  9. Hi everyone. This is my fifth day on Accutane 40mg and besides from breaking out I have noticed decreased/blurred vision both day and night. I actually had to move my computer screen closer because reading got difficult. It feels strange, like I'm living in a dream of some sort, like my brain and eyes are not properly wired . I'm used to reading at high speed but now, it feels like everything is going slow motion and I cannot focus on the same thing for longer periods. Anyone else exper
  10. Hey, nice progress! You still at 40mg a day? Best wishes
  11. Its almost impossible to get acne when oil glands stop producing oil. If you still get acne after being on Accutane, then you are still producing oil, obviously.
  12. Thank you Coop:) I called my derm and got an appointment in 3 weeks and hopefully I will get prescribed accutane. Until then, I will lay off the Rein-A and see how my skin evolves. I know Accutane is good for oily skin, but my skin is pretty dry to start with. It's not oily, at all. But like mentioned, I have tons of clogged pores with creamy looking sebum. How do you guys think this will work out?
  13. Hi all. I've been reading this forum forever (thank god we have internet), but never the chance to post. Male 23 years Struggled with acne for 7 years ## Issues Dry skin with severe whitemarks/ clogged pores filled with sebum. Moderate acne to go along with it. Appairs mostly on my cheeks and forehead.
