  1. It's been 4-1/2 weeks since I started my current regimen and my skin is so much better. It's working!!!!! My insurance doesn't cover Retin-A Microgel but I have enough from free samples and the first month free Rx to last me for another month or so then I have to switch over to Tretinoin cream which I'm hoping won't irritate my skin. I only dealt with minimal peeling with the Retin-A so fingers crossed. I only have 3 active pimples right now which is amazing compared to 15-20 on each cheek like
  2. Ok..so I am starting my log over. I ended up taking Loestrin for about a month and a half and my acne flared up again but even worse! ( So I guess I'm doomed when it comes to taking any type of birth control. So I made a dermatologist appt and got prescribed Solodyn 80mg, Retin-A Micro .04% and Clenia Foaming Wash. I'm two weeks into the regimen and I'm still breaking out but I'm going to stick with it and hope for the best. The peeling/dryness that I am getting with this regimen is nowhere near
  3. It has been three weeks since I had the Mirena IUD removed and I do not have one active cyst! I have a few small whiteheads and a bunch of leftover red marks but I can deal with all of that. The red marks are slowly fading. I'm still applying AHA every other day and an aspirin mask weekly. I have to admit that after using BP for a few weeks...my skin that wasn't breaking out looked great! Best that it has ever looked as far as texture and brightness. It just looked fresh and clean without makeup
  4. Haha I had not considered a fan! I could have one blowing on my face while i eat breakfast I suppose! Oh, the things we do for clear skin. Hahahahaa! Right! They should send a little mini fan that attaches to your upper arm like those ipod holders for when you are jogging, with every bottle of BP! LOL! I remember standing in the mirror talking to my face...telling it to hurry the heck up and absorb the dang BP so I can get on with my life! LOL!
  5. I started putting less on my face for that same reason. Cause dang...I have to be at work by 7 am and I have two kids I have to get ready as well...I didn't have time to sit and wait for it to dry...then wait for my moisturizer to dry before I put on my make-up. It was stressful. LOL! I don't use BP anymore..just tea tree oil toner but when I did...I would sit in front of a fan to speed up the drying. Not really sure if it helped though. Good luck girly! Go to sleep earlier so you can wake up ea
  6. I started using oatmeal too...have been for about 3 weeks now and it really does calm my skin down if it is irritated. I put warm water with it and leave it on my face until it dries...then rinse carefully with lukewarm water. It feels so good and smells good too. Good luck!
  7. Ummm seriously? Did you tell her to eff off? Geeezzz! And it's not melodramatic silly...I do the same thing. (maybe we are both melodramatic! LOL!)
  8. I do like the way it makes my face feel but I haven't used it long enough to give an opinion really. I've been using it for about 2 weeks. I'm still breaking out a bit from having the Mirena IUD...got it removed 2 weeks ago. I'll remember you and get back to you after I have used it for awhile.
  9. Your skin looks great! I'll trade ya! Ha! They say that exfoliation is the best thing for helping with red marks but everyone is different and it just depends really. Be careful about using a chemical exfoliant because it may cause your skin to purge and you will have a breakout which will cause more redmarks. You might want to just wait it out until they fade on their own. Good luck!
  10. Had a breakout over the weekend...no fun but it is healing up quickly. I guess my hormones are still out of whack from the IUD. The breakout was solely on my cheeks and chin. I did try the aspirin, honey lemon mask last night and WOWZERS! It really did make my skin look and feel great. I'm going to continue to use that once a week along with an oatmeal mask twice a week and see how it goes.
  11. You are going to have to just deal with the flakiness. I was on the regimen for a little over a month using the BP and the only thing that kind of helped was dan's jojoba oil but it didn't make it go away completely. It varies on how long it will take your skin to get used to it so there is no way of knowing when a good time to start back up would be. Some people have issues for months with the dryness and flakiness. I suggest gently massaging your face with jojoba oil in the shower and then put
  12. I haven't had any issues yet but it's really hard to tell right now since I just got the Mirena IUD removed and I have changed up my regimen a bit. I love the makeup though...goes on very smoothly, doesn't fell heavy and it matches my skin tone almost perfectly. Thanks for the heads up...if I still break out in a few weeks I will consider changing.
  13. Well I really can't say I have an opinion...since I was only on the regimen for about 4 weeks...but I'll give it to you anyway. I couldn't deal with the flakiness and the initial breakout that started at week 2 would not go away! I still do the regimen but I only use the BP as spot treatment. My cheeks look awful right now from all of the red marks. It's bad...like really bad. I just couldn't do it anymore. My acne was solely hormonal from the Mirena IUD and was nowhere near severe. If I had
  14. I seriously can not believe how much my face has improved in a week!!!! Damn devil IUD! I'm never getting one of those again and I'm also scared to take this Loestrin BC pill in fear that I will break out again. I still have a few pimples but no deep cystic ones like I had before I got the IUD removed.
  15. Ok...it's been 4 days since I had the Mirena taken out and I can see a huge improvement! So crazy! I am looking forward to having my normal skin back! I still have four active spots but they are small. It's way better than having 10 huge pimples on each cheek! I'm going to try the Oil of Olay microdermabrasion system after my actives are all gone to help with these leftover red spots that I have. I sure hope it helps cause both of my cheeks look horrible without makeup.
