  1. How long did it take for your face to settle down post BP? I wish I could give you a better answer, but I was trying new "natural" treatments that were probably making the breakout worse. I actually kept breaking out badly for about 5 months before I just caved and started using BP again to fight back the breakouts. From here I went the next few months using BP sporadically (maybe once every 3-4 days) to keep the breakout at bay. I finally went cold turkey again and my skin held up pretty well
  2. Large pores are definitely in my genes, but I'm trying to treat the pores that I've scared by picking at them for the last 20 years. I'm not too worried by the general largeness of my pores.

  4. I'm in my early 30's and still get acne and clogged pores. I have always had a bad habit of picking at my pores to push the blackheads out. Doing this for so long has left the pores on, to the left, and to the right of my nose unsightly. Now that I'm older there is a much higher chance of a pore being scarred from my picking. This had led me to look into some form of scar treatment, which brought me to the Fraxel treatments. I'm a little concerned by the negative reviews I've read on RealSel
  5. I stopped BP cold turkey and about a month later my skin went nuts. I was getting closer to hitting 30 and didn't want to always be dependent on it. Plus, it was just making my skin look older. I wasn't really helping either because I started taking B5 around the same time. It hard for me to say how bad my breakout would've been if the only thing I did was stop BP. However, expect some kind of negative reaction. Good luck!
  6. I recently got a large cyst in the area between my jawline and my neck. I have a picture in my gallery of a similar cyst I got on my forehead about 2 years ago, which was about the size of a dime. For the new one, the actual infection hit hard in about one day; but was already healing up by the next. However, it left a bigger red bump under the skin than the dime size one. It feels like a nice solid painless mass under the skin and is actually quite noticeable superficially. My question is a
  7. I am taking 1G of B5 daily right now (2 500mg capsules, one in the morning and at night). I'm going through a breakout that I can't say if it is related to the B5 or its just a bad time for my skin. Do people usually get an initial breakout from starting to take B5? Also, I've noticed a decrease in anxiety since I upped the dose of B5 from 500mg daily to 1G daily. Has anyone else experienced such a change in mood?
  8. I'm in my late 20's and still suffering from acne that has only been controllable with anti-biotics and BP. I need something else that is more reliable, manageable, and doesn't have extreme side effects. I going to start taking 1g time release of B5 daily to combat my skin. I've read a lot of mega-dosing stories and it is something I want to avoid. I figured 1g was a much safer dose, but large enough to be somewhat effective. However, I still wanted to check with you guys and here what you t
  9. I'm going to assume that the lack of response is because everyone's beard made a full recovery never to return to these boards 8D !
  10. I recently had a breakout out of nowhere after being 80-90% clear for about two months. Acne is something that I've dealt with since my early teenage years like most of the people here (30 now). However, to my surprise this recent breakout's aftermath left roughly a centimeter in length small patch of hairless skin. I've never experienced that before among all my life breakouts, and I could grow a fairly respectable beard since my middle teens. There is a dark spot close to it, but the scarring
  11. I'm 29 and on my temporal point the hair has thinned out some what over the last couple months. My right temple has not seen the same effect and this area on my temporal point out of the typical areas you would see male pattern baldness. Now, I did have a break out in the area and there are still visible red marks left over from the acne. My question is if anyone else has experienced this and did it eventually grow back for them? Any help will be greatly appreciated! P.S. I should a
  12. I'm not sure if this video has been posted before, but if it is your first time seeing it I have to warn you that it is a little gross. The facility is based out of India and seems to have a clientele that includes people who suffer from the worst blackheads I've ever seen! How do they even get that bad?
  13. I recently started using Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash which uses Salicylic Acid 2% as an active ingredient. I wanted to use something that was milder than my previous treatments, but still strong enough to fight off any acne. It really keeps my pores around my nose and on my nose in check, which is why I will continue to use it. However, in the last week (about 2 months since I started using the acne wash) I've been having a bad breakout on both sides of my face that starts just below my
  14. Benzoyl Peroxide Sacilic Acid Tea Tree Oil I've done BP and will never go back, so that leave SA and TTO. I'm looking for a mild facial clensar that helps treat acne, but won't be too harsh on my skin. I'm 28 and kind of winged all treatments in hopes my skin would adapt. I cut cheese out of my diet, which reduced my acne by 40-60%. I still get some acne and I'm hoping using a light regimn will keep my skin reletively clear. Can anyone recommend a facial cleansar?
