  1. I've been using the moisturiser and face wash for a good three weeks now, and am having huge success with the whole Simple range. I've tried literally everything on the nasty cysts that would pop up on my forehead, and believe me, nothing would get rid of them. I splash warm water on my face after I shave each morning, then use the cleanser for a good 10-15 seconds. I gently pat my face dry and apply the moisturise afterwards, and it really seems to help. There's corn starch in the moisturis
  2. Thank you so much to everyone for replying. I hate this awful condition, but just knowing that I'm not alone like this makes me feel 100% better about everything. P.S. I'm going to look into The Regimen as well. I've always been nervous about washing my face with products or moisturising, but I'll see how I get on with it.
  3. Thank you very much for replying. It's a huge comfort to know that there are others out there which have to live with this awful condition. I'm trying very hard to be optimistic, but it's so hard when you feel you've exhausted every option available. I won't give up!
  4. Disgusted and extremely ugly! Off out to buy saw palmetto later, and also hoping that turmeric helps on certain pimples.
  5. Stares in public are the worst. Unfortunately it's not just the younger generation, either. I've seen many (if not more) older people gawking as if I'm some circus attraction.
  6. I seemed to have suffered with acne for years. At least when it was on my head and chest no one would see it! There's a new cyst developing on my face every week now, and it's really damaging my confidence...even more serious than that: some days I won't leave the house and I obsessively treat a spot with everything under the sun; Of course nothing works, but I live on in some weird hope. I'm becoming extremely distant and depressed. I'm a 30 year old gay guy, and although I'm far from super
  7. I'm having the exact same trouble. I've thought for a while now that exercise is the culprit, but I couldn't possibly give up my cardio or rowing; I feel so good afterwards. I'm now down to two sessions a week, so we'll see.

    Exercise And Acne

I'll have a look into saw palmetto. I see Holland and Barrett stock the capsules at £10.95. A tad pricey, but I'm willing to try anything. Let me know how you get on.

    Exercise And Acne

Does anyone else have trouble with exercise-induced acne? I love my exercise regime to bits; I feel so wonderful and refreshed after a ten mile walk (I also look amazing for it). I've recently started running and doing other cardio activity, yet it's really upsetting my skin. I'm breaking out with huge red cysts on my face, which take ages to heal. I won't leave the house because I'm ashamed of my skin - people stare too, which makes me feel very self concious. This really isn't any way to live
  10. I've just come back from the dermatologist, who's prescribed me a six week course of accutane (20mg). Thing is, I'm absolutely terrified of starting the course after all the horror stories I've read I guess I just need some reassurance. Ugh...

    My diet

Thanks for replying. Well, I shall try eliminating the soy milk and see if there's any changes, and definitely incorporate more of the healthy fats into my diet, too. I did eat lots of peanut butter, nuts and seeds for fats, but gave everything up, as I heard it was inflammatory? abigailwheeler - I'm totally dairy free as well I know for a fact that dairy products cause me to break out in really nasty spots, not to mention causing stuffy sinuses and eczema. My doctor actually dismissed this
  12. I'm 28 and have suffered with terrible cystic acne on my chest and back of head for as long as I can remember. I've tried most of the specialist drugs and creams that my doctor has given me but nothing seems to have helped (in fact, he's sending me to the dermatologist this Monday). Anyway, I've decided to go down the diet/natural route for the time being, to see if there's any improvement. It can't hurt. Here's what my diet consists of ATM: Breakfast: Oats with rice milk, blueberries and ban
