  1. I had pretty bad acne all over my face, and the first time I went to the derm was on Dec. 19 when he perscribed me Minocycline with Brevoxyl 8 Face Wash. I immediately started seeing results, with a few new pimples in the first month, but gradually they stopped coming up. Now my face looks terrific, with only minor red spots in areas where I once had major concentrations of acne pimples. Trust the medicine, if it isn't working all that well make sure you don't eat anything within 2 hours on eith
  2. I've been taking Minocycline since December 19th, and its worked wonders for my face. But there is a warning on the label that says do not lie down within 1/2 hour of taking the medicine. I'm sure there is a reason for this but I can't find any info about it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Pete
  3. I have been on the regimen for almost 2 months now and my skin is looking pretty good. I want to try the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Moisturizer but it contains Salicylic Acid with Retinol. Is there any harm in combining the two products? I know of the additional irritation having BP with Salicylic Acid but any problems with BP and Retinol? Thanks. Peter
  4. How much lemon juice do you add to the 8 oz of water? What is the ratio of water to lemon? Peter
  5. Hey I'd just like to get some feedback about this.... I'm 18 right now, a freshman in college, and I have had pretty bad acne since 8th grade. I've tried washing with everything under the sun, tried Differin gel (did nothing), and now Dan's regimen has produced better results, but I'm still not clear. I'm basically just tired of washing every single day, worrying about my face all the time, and now its starting to affect my social life in college. I mean I can't go sleep out somewhere or
  6. Garkee - I had a few questions for you that I posted a few days ago on my Regimen thread. Could you check them out? Thanks. Peter
  7. Garkee I've seen your posts on what foods/substances are good and not good for acne. I'm thinking of getting some vitamins as college food isn't always the healthiest. Right now I'm looking at One A Day ( http://www.oneaday.com/products/menshealthform.cfm ). Can you tell me if there are any ingrediants in there that I shouldn't take? Thanks a lot. Peter
  8. Garkee - I've stopped using the Clean and Clear since I began the regimen. I've only used the Purpose Cleanser Bar and Neutrogena 2.5% BP since my first post. Sorry I didn't clear that up (no pun intended). Peter
  9. Well its been almost 2 weeks, and the regimen has been going great, except for the past 4 days. For some reason, I broke out with almost 20 pimples in the past 3-4 days, 3 of them being deep cysts. I didn't change anything in my habits, followed the regimen as I always have, and didn't switch cleanser bars or new bottles of the same products. Why did this happen??! I'm hoping they will go away, or at least deminish, by this weekend when I get back together with all my friends from home. I can't
  10. Start the regimen. You will see results after just a few days. I have used it for about a week and my skin is 10 times better. Just Be Careful that you don't over-do the BP application or you will dry out your skin too much and it will become red and peal. (<- what happened to me). Just my 2 cents. Peter
  11. hahaha i can assure you i'm not dan.. i'm an 18 year old college student from New Jersey who currently goes to the University of Virginia. I saw Dan's site and figured I'd give his stuff a try. Dan doesn't have anything to profit from faking this stuff, its not like people order products from him, so I figured the basis of his statements have to be at least sort of true. Notice that he says "I like to use products x and x, but similar ones may work if they have the same ingredients." I've bee
  12. I followed garkees advise and went out and bought the Combination Skin moisturizer. It works well, and keeps the shine down, but doesn't have SPF protection. Hopefully this won't harm much. I think I went a little overboard on the BP application, my skin is a little red and feels dry. I applied a lot of moisturizer and think I may either go for applying the moisturizer at night as well, or just apply moisturizer for the day, leaving out the BP. My face is much clearer though, with only two new w
  13. Yesterday I went out to Walmart and purchased all the stuff I think I need. I got: - Purpose Cleansing Bar - Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 - Neutrogena On the Spot 2.5% BP I washed last night and followed the directions. This morning I had 3 new whiteheads, but the existing pimples I had were improving. Still early to see results I guess. The only negative thing is the shinyness of my face due to the moisturizer. I can live through it. I also noticed a bit more redness in my face as a result of
  14. I have to admit I'm kinda skeptical of this program, I have pretty bad acne from my eyes to my chin, although my forehead is fine. I started having acne problems in about 8th grade, and now I'm a freshman in college and I've decided I Really want to clear this up as much as possible. Right now every morning and night I use the Clean and Clear Acne Wash (Salactic Acid wash), followed by Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Medication (10% Benzoil Peroxide wash). I also have perscription Differ
