  1. Apol-or anyone else.....anyone notice tighter skin, smaller pores, reduced scars, etc...from long-term retin-a use?
  2. Anyone find that using Retin-a has diminished pore size or reduced small idented scars? Its supposed to produce more collagen after a few months....anyone notice this??
  3. Ok, i have been using it for 3 weeks ...so far not much change. I have some enlarged pores too and some small indented scars...have any of you retin-a users found it to make pores smaller/ decrease small scars....its supposed to help with this in additition to clearing acne. anyone notice this???? Thanks!

    Questions

HI everyone- I self needled about 2.5 months ago and still have darker pigmentation in the needled areas...is this normal? Does that mean it is still healing? I didn't know it would take this long for the redness/ discoloration to completely fade to normal. Have other experienced this...and how much longer will it take to fade? Thanks

    Questions

Maya- So your face is still rather red/bruised/blotchy after 2 weeks? Just trying to gage recovery time here.
  6. Hey, your scars don't look all that bad...and I agree with the person who said that guy's aren't supposed to have silky smooth skin anyway. Did you know that Brad Pitt has acne scars???...so does tommy lee jones, Nic Cage, etc. ...didn't hurt them any. Check out www.skinema.com. What you need to do is grow some collagen to fill up those little divets. I would try those new lasers like Smoothbeam or Cooltouch.....or that needling looks promising. Check out the thread on it in this site...its 26 p
  7. Try something with Hydroquinone in it.....it fades hyperpigmentation from acne. (dark marks)
  8. Hi- I started taking Vit A (just regular Vit. A, not beta-carotene) last week 64,000 IU...and it seems to have slowed the oil a lot so far. I have tried B5 in the past and was not as pleased. Anyone else had luck so far with Vit. A, and how much are you taking?

Hi all - Another short question.....didn't get much of a response on this last time, so I'm trying again. Just wondering how long until the pink skin color fades to complete normal tone after needling?

    Questions

MC- Thanks for the reply. How long does the tissue take to completley heal on average. Also, have you noticed results getting better with more time? Like will the results of the needling be better at one month, for example, than at 2 weeks? Who has had experience with this? Thanks,

    Questions

I have a general question - ok, so it appears from what I've read, that after your skin is needled, that the scabbing goes away in about 5 days. So, my question is, when does the pink / red color fade to normal after that? Also, when do you see the full results of the needling, has anyone's skin improved even more in the weeks following the scabs coming off? The reason I ask, is that I tried needling some smaller scars on my cheeks about a week 1/2 ago....the scabs are off, but now there is the

    Questions

Freedom- I only used Retin-A for about 2 weeks, but that's all it took to really make my skin weird...it has never been the same since (6 mos later). It has gotten a little bit better, but I have a feeling that there is nothing I can do about the pores becoming enlarged. It made my skin oiler and also dilated the pores. I mean if it hasn't returned to normal in 6 months, I guess that its probably not going to. I used it to try and get rid of some scars, and little did I know that my skin would

    Questions

Maya- I have been following the post, even though I haven't contributed much. I can say though, and I'm not a doctor, so I could be wrong. but personally, I wouldn't put the Retin-a on your skin just yet. That stuff is really harsh to the skin. I used a small amount a breif time on normal skin (not freshly-needled skin) and basically it made my face all red, peely, and in some areas raw. Six months later, I can still see where it irritated my face....plus it made my pores permanently bigger ever

    Questions

Maya- Thanks for the response. I don't think that they are icepicks (I have those on my cheeks). I think they are just large pores. They make my forehead look really rough and I was just wondering if anyone has noticed smoother skin from needling (not just scarred areas). I was thinking of needling my forehead and letting it scab over to see if the result would be a smoother surface. I am nervous though, because this is not scar tissue I'd be poking at, and I wouldn't want to make it worse. Do y

    Questions

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have a quick question about needling, if someone wouldn't mind giving me an opinion. Do you think needling helps get rid of large pores too? Has anyone seen their pores become smoother/less noticeable in the areas that they've needled? Although I have scarring in other areas, I don't have any scars on my forehead , but I do have a lot large pores there that look like little holes. Do you think needling would smooth this area out, or will I risk scaring? If someone c
