  3. Just a quick note to say "thank you" for developing the new bp gel. When i got it, i almost wanted to cry for the size of it. It's sooo nice to have this large tube at such an affordable price. I find it to be a quality product that (being a gel) goes on much smoother than Neutragena On-The-Spot. I so much appreciate your efforts for us. ~Thank you~ lynne *Moderator edit, URL's removed - read the board rules.*
  4. Dan, I finally ordered your bp gel after a month or two of debating. For the past month or two I have just been washing my face with water and basically my whole face has been clear except for my chin. Now, I was on Proactiv for 3 months before this 2 month span of just washing with water and I think my chin was pretty clear then, my temples and my forehead were the bad areas. I don't want to mess with the rest of my face because I figure if it is clear without doing anything thats great. So d
  5. Hey, I've had this Cyst on my nose for a LONG time, i've tried everything I could think of to get rid of it. Do you guys know of anything that can help to get rid of it? #-o Thanks *MOD EDIT: Please do not advertise*
  6. so i used glycolic peels to work on my red marks. however, i started to become quite fustrated lately with these really small bumps where my cheeks meet around my upper lip. i know they are clogged. i heard that peels are good for gettin rid of blackheads and de cloggin pores. i remember quite a while ago i used this peel that was in gel form, you let it dry on your face and you peel it off later however i forgot the name. can anyone recommend some good peels? i desperately need to smoothen the
  7. Night Before: Well tomorrow I start my journey to hopefully clearer skin. Went to the store today and bought anything and everything that I could possibly need to battle all the side effects so im hoping for a relatively painless trip. Little about me, im 20yr old/m and Ive been battling acne for awhile. Done all the antibiotics, topicals, ect... and they somewhat worked but they never got my skin clear. Im just hoping that this cleans out my skin so that I can feel as good about my apperence
  8. What to know how many different types of anti-bacterial familys medicense there are? I used all the cycline family and I thinking of going to the family that the drug keflex belongs to. But thats the only member I know of is "keflex". And I don't know what order is to use that durg family in. I don't know if keflex goes, first, last or in the middle. *MOD EDIT: Please do not advertise*
  9. well once i finished my first course of accutane my hair got really thin and was worrying me. My accutane came back so i took another risk and went back on accutane on 10mg a day. My scalp is really itchy. I used to get a special liquid that i would put on my hair before acctuane for the scalp but dont have anymore. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what to use. I heard that nioxin shampoo and conditioner is great. Will this stop my hair thinning problem and itchy scalp problem even on accut
  10. Hey there folks... I'm 21 and I finally felt like my acne was starting to clear up (after about 5 years...). Well, I still had quite a bit on my back and chest and thought I'd go visit my derm again, because I figured I had nothing to lose. Well, my face was pretty good by just using BP daily. However, I was prescribed tretinoin and mincocycline and advised to replace the BP with it. Now, it's only been two weeks, but my face is the worst it has looked in a year. I am just wondering if anyone ha

  13. Hi, er, it's the winter right now and I suppose this is the time my acne gets its worst. I was using ProActv on its own during the summer and it was working great for my skin, I was probably getting a zit a week if that. Then in the winter it started to go haywire, I broke out all over one side of my face and on my forehead. I ditched that (probably will go back to in the summer, something about the sun + fresh, warm air my skin enjoys) and am now using Minacyclin and St.Ives Clean Pore Cleanser
  14. I used to post on this forum a while ago but have since forgotten my password and no longer have my previous email account, so although this is my first post, i'm not really a "noob" I was wondering what the proper way to apply toner is. It seems to me that swooshing a cotton ball with it across your face is a bad idea (you're sliding dead skin cells all over the place), and dabbing doesn't seem to be all that better. So does anyone know what the proper/recommended method of applying toner ac
  15. i was up last night watching tv and came across an infomercial for Murad's Acne Complex (www.acnecomplex.com) where they said that acne is caused by 5 separate factors, and bacteria is only 20% of that. They have solution for all 5 factors and use no benzoyl peroxide because this Murad guy believes that while BP kills bacteria it causes more breakouts because of its irritation to the skin. I just wanted to know if any of you have tried acne complex or if any of you have heard of anyone to try. S
