Yeah I'm sure it does help, it's just like fasting...and you won't get any new breakouts from it, even a 3 day water fast helped my acne but it won't really clear your acne completely THAT fast...it takes a lot longer than 3 days for pimples to dry, even on a water fast. But they do dry up a lot faster. I don't really like apples thoughh and I think it would get kinda borinng and make me eat everything that i shouldn't eaat after 1 day of it
  2. Do you go to the gym? Because I think sweat can cause acne on the body. I used murad's body spray before, I had upper back acne and upper arm acne but, not chest acne..it got rid of it in like 2 weeks and my upper back stayed clear for almost 3 years (I only had to use the product for 2 weeks) but once i started working out at the gym my upper back acne came back. But the arm acne never came back.

  4. Reading these recipes makes me realize how restrictive my diet actually is hahaa.. But thankfully I am buying a steamer tommorrow and quality meat, and I already have the vegetables...and a lot of spices. I'm going to bake the chicken with orange juice and a bunch of herbs, and on the side I'm going to have steamed veggies with ghee and spices on top. Hopefully it turns out well, cooking from scratch is more difficult than putting a sandwhich together or making cereal.

  6. Your dermotologist is wrong, they make money from selling t opicals, if they tell you to eat healthy, they won't make any money. Also, they only knw what they are taught in school, and their textbooks don't teach them about the diet-acne connection, or they would be hollistic doctores-not dermatologists. Personally, I have gotten clear twice in my life from a diet change but, once i ate things that would affect my acne, the acne came back. So you have to make permanent changes in your diet.

  13. I feel the same way about proactive, people that don't have acne think it's something so easily to be cured too, like they say "theres creams out there that will get rid of acne" pshhh yeah, all it does is dry a zit so more can pop up on the rest of your face.
  14. Go easy on the walnuts, they can cause breakouts if you eat too many. Good to hear someone else trying the raw diet, I did it twice and it cleared me up after 2 months both times. Good luck!!

  17. Thanks for your advice. I haven't had any apples or pears for the last few days, however I've been eating a ton of pomegranates since they're really cheap this time of year. Do you think they could cause problems? They're not that sweet and I eat the seeds so I get alot of fibre. Yeah, I've done a lot of damage to my skin over the years, using harsh cleansers and stuff.   19. Washing your face with soap or cleansers isn't really neccessary..I only use water and sometimes cetiphil if i wear sunblock that day, since sun block can clogg pores if you leave it on.

  23. I think the food you eat can cause an imbalance in your hormones. I remember at the beginning of this year when I ate nothing but fruit and veggies RAW, in about 2 months i was clear. I think it was because I didn't eat anything that caused an imbalance in my hormones and didn't cause my androgen levels to rise. Just a thought, I haven't looked into how the food you eat can balance your hormones, but i think it would be interesting since food is directly related to acne for most people. Als
