  1. Hello everyone. I am happy to report that my skin is back to being completely clear. I guess it's normal to have some sort of breakout 3-5 months post accutane. I think i overreacted D: Current Skin Care Routine- Before i get this started, i want to point out that i use practically all Mario Badescu Skin Care. I trust this brand and have never gotten a reaction from it. I have eczema, redness and melasma. I have to be extremely careful with what i put on my skin. Foundation or "Base" wi
  2. Thank you everyone. I appreciate your kindness. My skin IS doing better but i haven't been taking the Tetracycline. I haven't updated because i'm still waiting on a phone call from my Dermatologist discussing the discontinuation of the medication I've been prescribed. Maybe this was a fluke breakout? I think it's common to have a breakout 3-5 months after your last pill. Who knows! Maybe i'm making it up to make myself feel better lol. I have no active breakouts, just red spots now. I am relieve
  3. Thanks! I have a high hopes that my dermatologist will let me go on a second course. :]
  4. I took it with food and milk just like the bottle said. I'm very familiar with these types of pills. I went through the same thing when i was on Doxycycline. I just don't think they are a good match for me! D:
  5. Bad News! I didn't plan on updating for a little while but i received a frustrating phone call from the pharmacy and the pills i took made me very sick to my stomach. The tetracycline made me throw up and had me in bed 2 hours after i took it. I am not taking that stuff anymore, and when i say that, i mean i wouldn't be able to anyways! The pharmacy called and said that they stopped making tetracycline and had given me the last bottle. Also, the cream and face wash i was prescribed won't be in
  6. Thank you so much. I hope this works out in my favor as well. My skin is horrible right now. My forehead and nose are covered in tiny pimples. The Tazorac cream is already drying and peeling my skin. I'm going to update this in a week and see how things go. My fingers are crossed! Good luck to you :]
  7. Dermatologist Appointment Update: Hello Everyone! Yesterday i talked to my dermatologist about going on a second course of Accutane. He said he didn't want to jump back into it just yet. He perscribed me the Sumadan face wash (2x a day), Tazorac Cream (just dot it on my spots before bed) and a months worth of Tetracycline. I've taken this medication before with no luck. The dermatologist said he was very confident that this will clear me up back to the way my skin was before. My fingers are cro
  8. Hey there, I am just now starting my second round. I started breaking out again 5 months after taking my last pill. The derm has told me that round 2 should be 99% effective.....fingers crossed. I hope your breakout goes away and that you will be back to being acne free! I sure hope so! I have about 5 deep pimples right now. They are so painful. I've gotten so used to not having this stuff on my face. Ugh! I wonder if i'll be given a higher dose. Good luck! Hello Everyone! I just want to do

    Accutane 7-8 Weeks

haha..me too, i avoid products that contain oil in it. I always go for products which are non comedogenic,or products for acne/oily prone skin. Since accutane tends to dry my skin, and my lips a lot, im gonna try the mariobadescu cleanser, I hope its available here in the Philippines. You have to try Dr. Dans Cortibalm for your lips! http://www.amazon.com/Dans-CortiBalm-Balm-Chapped-Lips/dp/B0013JE6K2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325661398&sr=8-1 They do ship internationally, but i imagine

    Accutane 7-8 Weeks

No problem! I used this cleanser while on my course in particular (http://mariobadescu.com/cleansing-milk-with-carnation-and-rice-oil) because accutane made my skin SO dry. This saved it entirely. Don't let the "oil" scare you. Trust me, i had bad oily skin and would run away at the sight of the word "oil" on a product. This is GOOD oil. I wet my face with warm water, massaged the cleanser onto my skin with a face cleansing brush like this (http://www.sallybeauty.com/Facial-Cleansing-Brush/SBS-4

    Starting Accutane!!

Congrats on your progress! It makes me so happy to hear all of your good news. Accutane has changed my life. I finished my 40mg 6month course on September 25th, 2011. It's definitely a journey. Patience is key, that's for sure. There were days where i just wanted to stop the whole thing and give up. Stay positive, girl If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! -Courtney

    Accutane 7-8 Weeks

I know how you feel! I finished Accutane on September 25th, 2011. I was on it for 6months 40mg all the way through. My skin was HORRID. I've kept my blog updated with pictures etc to prove it! I hope they inspire you to stay positive. Right now i have some breakouts because it's that time of the month, but that's normal for a woman. I would avoid AHA and glycolic products because it may burn your skin. Accutane causes redness anyways and i couldn't imagine how red it would be after using such an
  13. I love this topic! I would love to see some of your beauty videos if and when you make them :] @Samsamsamsamsam i'm currently using Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer. The one in the dark tube (Oil-free). I LOVE it! It's pricey ($42) but you hardly need any and i've had it for a year now. It offers amazing coverage and moisture. I apply ELF (eyeslipsface.com) HD setting powder over it with a powder puff (always a clean one). Now what can anyone tell me about some under eye concealers?!
  14. Hello Everyone! It's almost been a year since I've taken my first accutane pill! I can't believe it. I just want to do a quick little update on my skin. It's been great since my last update but right now i have 11 pimples. Yes, it is that time of the month and i'm extremely stressed with college so i'm not going to sweat it. I know they will go away quickly with some spot treatment (using neutrogena rapid clear 2in1 fight and fade gel with micro-clear). I'm not sure if i'll go on another round o
  15. 2 MONTHS POST ACCUTANE: Hello everyone! I'm happy to report that i'm still acne free. I only get a spot around my period but goes away over night when i put a spot treatment on it. My skin hasn't returned to being the oily mess it once was. It's a little dry but that's only because it's very cold where i am now. I would say my skin type is "normal" now. I thought i would tell you all the products i am using now and the products i used on accutane. Currently: Cetephil Gentle Cleanser
