  1. Thanks for the replies, it seems that Zinc Gluconate is everywhere, I've tried to find the others in a few places and I keep coming across Gluconate.
  2. Hello all, I'm back! I have another question. Which type of Zinc is the most effective at treating acne? I say which type because of course there are several different kinds, such as Zinc Gluconate, which seems to be everywhere in the drug stores, but I've heard that Zinc Monomethionine may be more effective? Also there is another called Zinc Picolinate. I would just like to know which of these the most effective?
  3. If I wasn't afraid of death, I'd end it, this world sucks!!!!
  4. I have dry and somewhat red skin, I wash with water only, once per day and I make sure that it's lukewarm. Why is my skin turning red, I'm not putting anything on it, and I haven't for months! I'm scared to death to put any products on my skin, it seems that putting anything on my face other than water, makes it break out, and I have clear skin now, but it's red and dry, do I really need to put on a moisturizer and take a chance on it breaking me out just to get rid of this redness? Nature made
  5. I think I'm either panicking or just losing my mind, but I'm going through the same thing and it sucks so bad. Okay here's my problem, basically my skin is red and dry because I wash it with water only, once a day and that's it, no moisturizers or anything, I'm scared to put anything on my face so I'm just like whatever, it's either I'll have clear skin washing with water only or I'll put a million products on my face to get rid of the redness, but then I'll have acne again, it's really frustr
  6. Thanks I'm just going to not wash and hopefully this stupid redness goes away. But of course I'm going to take some pills, Zinc, Motrin and whatever antacid I can find a long with drinking a lot of water.
  7. Could not washing my face at all cause it to get red and irritated?
  8. Since washing my face with ONLY water I have had no acne at all for the last 3 months! 100% clear since using only water, and that means no moisturizers or anything else. But I seem to have this layer of dead skin now, that I constantly every day have to rub off, with washed fingers. It's annoying and stupid. How can simple, plain water cause skin cells to not fall off or whatever they normally do. I wash for 30 seconds in the shower, once per day with only tepid water. That is it, nothing els
  9. Washing with water ONLY and no products of any kind, at all, may clear you up. It worked for me and many others. Wash with water only and you should see results inside of a week.
  10. Hey Ashley I've been on water only for about 8 weeks now and I'd say within the first week it became less oily, however still more so than I'd like but with no acne so it was the SA that totally wrecked my face beyond belief. I think I'm going to reduce it to once a day like you, honestly I don't like how the dead skin piles up and I think it's due to acid mantle disturbance by washing too frequently. Something you said earlier I think is the key and that is to forget about acne and just leave
  11. I understand your methods and I myself have been trying a similar approach. I started by only using water but I wear make up in the day and it was clear that water alone was not taking this off my face, so I started using Johnson's baby wipes. They're good for taking off make up, they contain practically only water and help with the gentle exfoliation which helps with the flaky skin. Soooo I'm just putting it out there in the case that it can help anyone, as it's very similar to the water-only
  12. It is so confusing isn't it. I've decided to stay active on this site because I feel like I was a victim for giving myself that 6 month long outbreak of acne by using products. As far as the shampoo goes be careful to not let it touch your face, that stuff will clog your pores so badly it will be worse than applying bp, sa and all other poisons. What I'm doing now is just carefully shampooing with my head tilted back completely and making sure that the shampoo doesn't touch my face. I think what

  14. I don't think you should putting anything on your face like a rag, that's really harsh and could be dirty. Just get in the shower let the water run down your face and let it air dry no towel or else your just making your face dirty again by the towel, even a clean towel will have some residue on it from being washed with nasty detergent. No shampoo on face, no products on face and no towels or wash clothes on face. Wash your hands in the shower, use your fingers to gently exfoliate that is about
  15. So I have a question and pardon my ignorance. I have had moderate/mild acne since probably age 13, I guess, and I'm about to turn 30. I also have very uneven skin tone which makeup (bare minerals) helps with. If i were to try this "water only" regimen, I'm assuming makeup has to go, right? or do you just cleanse with water even though you wear makeup? I am currently using CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer. I have recently quit the regimen after a year of reasonably clear skin, but horrib
