  1. Hi everyone. I started Accutane back in November. So I just started my fourth month. But I don't feel like I've been seeing really any improvement. A little here and there but really nothing major yet. I started out on 30mg, then was upped to 60 last month, and now I am up to 80 as of yesterday. My derm said she thinks there is improvement but I disagreed with her. I was just wondering how long it took all of you to start seeing results, major results that is. I might just need to wait longer bu
  2. Hey all, I'm probably about to start accutane and was curious about the IB experience. I've heard not everybody experiences one, but for those who have, when did it first kick in after you started taking it and how long did it last? With the holidays coming up and the whole family pictures kind of thing, I don't want it to end up putting a damper on all that and might want to wait to start it at the beginning of next year. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dylan
  3. Thanks for the feedback guys. I appreciate the kind words. In preparation for the dry skin, I purchased some Lubriderm for extra dry skin. https://www.lubriderm.com/products/concerns/extra-dry-skin I have been using the regular and the one for skin damage/repair for about a year or so now and have found it to be pretty successful. I was wondering if you had any knowledge of how the Lubriderm would perform against something like Cetaphil. My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil.
  4. Hey there everyone. I will have the opportunity to start an accutane treatment in a few days, but I'm not entirely sure if I want to do it yet. I've been reading a lot of people's posts on here to try and comfort myself and see what people are going through. I figured posting on here and trying to make some pals would make me feel a little better haha. So my quick back story is that I've been suffering from acne since I was about 13 or 14, and I'm almost 21 now. In the beginning it was prett
  5. Hey everybody I was wondering if any of you had some methods for reducing the redness of acne. I can deal with it being there but I was curious to see if there were any ways to help reduce redness so it isn't that noticeable and that wouldn't cause me to break out more. I've tried various things such as hydracortisone cream which might help a tiny bit temporarily and also vitamin E cream and water and baking soda. None of them seem to do the trick anymore though. Anybody have any ideas?
  6. Ah well thanks guys. So would you suggest that I try to get myself off of the Ziana? I suppose it doesn't work that much anymore and I'm guessing the longer I use it the worse things could be if I rid of it later. Last night I didn't use any Ziana and all I did was put a little bit of vitamin E cream on parts of my face and body. It didn't do much except reduce the redness a little bit. But I put it on again this morning and by tonight they have tremendously reduced in swelling size and fee
  7. Alright everyone, I need some help here. So I've tried numerous prescription medications just like everybody else has. And after awhile they slowly start to not work anymore. But I've finally found one that I've been using for a few months that seems to do alright. It's called Ziana. I'm sure most of you have heard of it. My dermatologist told me it would get rid of moderate/severe acne and keep it from coming back but of course that is all bologna because after it goes away, a week or two
