  1. I went on his products earlier this year, and they helped a lot with the pigmentation. The reason I had to stop using it was because while it helped the pigmentation, it didn't help my actual acne, so it was kind of a win-lose thing for me. And if I'm not mistaken, a lot of his products contain Retin-A. This is likely why you're experiencing the redness. I got red too! But they do help. Good luck! x
  2. Hey everyone, I got a bad case of acne due to BC around this time last year. This whole year was spent trying to get rid of it. I tried EVERYTHING - Obagi products, lemon juice, benzoyl peroxide, Duac, Murad, honey masks, organic face washes and toners, everything. Some of it helped for a little while, but nothing truly worked. Then I went on vacation about a month ago, to Hawaii. I had the crazy painful kind of acne - tons of pimples were forming on my forehead, and I couldn't even raise my ey
  3. I used Retin A for a couple of months this year. I stopped because you can't wax when you're on it, and I have pretty hairy brows if I don't get them done regularly. You can still pluck or thread, but I'm just not a fan of either method. It doesn't make your scars more noticeable. Quite the opposite actually, because it makes your surrounding skin reddish. Not disgustingly so - I was able to hide the slight redness with mineral makeup. My skin looked better after the time I was on it, but do k
  4. Hi everyone, I'm happy to say that with a mix of using certain elements of the regimen, as well as Epicuren acne cleanser, acne toner, and probiotic moisturizer (as well as Aczone and La Prairie spot treatment for the now rare spot that comes up) my skin is finally starting to heal and look good again! I highly recommend the Epicuren line to anyone struggling with acne, I have literally tried EVERYTHING you could imagine. What isn't healing is these awful red marks. I look like I have a ton of
  5. So I started taking birth control a few months back, and my clear skin started breaking out EVERYWHERE. So I've been off the pills for nearly a month, but there's a pretty annoying problem. Every last pimple I got while taking those pills (dozens) have left scars and marks on my face. I used to have beautiful cheeks - they were the only part of my face that seemed resistant to EVER breaking out - and now I have scarring, and I'm STILL breaking out even after ditching the pills (although thankful
  6. Are the regimen products worth buying? I've been trying all kinds of things to help my acne/scarring to no avail, so have any of you had little success with the mainstream stuff and more success with Acne.org products? If so, which ones? Thanks!
  7. Yes, I realized that. :/ I meant to post it on the mild to moderate acne board, but I was looking at the severe board for extra tips and accidentally posted it there. I tried to delete it but to no avail. Since you're a mod, can you possibly delete the post on the severe acne board? Thanks!
  8. Thanks for the advice guys! I will definitely try both and hope for the best!
  9. Didn't even think of that! I'll wash them tonight then. Thanks for the tip!
  10. I've heard wrinkles can be caused/aggravated by lack of moisture in the skin. Are you using a drying kind of product on your forehead (Retin A, benzoyl peroxide, etc.)? If so maybe adding a moisturizer to your regimen would help!
  11. Hey everyone. My last post basically detailed my acne story, but I'll cut to the chase: my skin is the worst it's ever been, and I'm insanely frustrated by it. New Years Eve is in a couple of days, and I have plans to go to a huge concert. Which means tons of pictures will be taken of me. The idea of it makes me cringe. While I would just cake on a ton of cover-up and call it a day, I was wondering if anyone had some methods for something to drastically shrink my current pimples and take away t

  13. Thanks so much for the reply! I'm anxious to switch onto a new pill since I've had such awful skin on Ortho, but I'm also scared to try a new one only because it may give me another initial breakout to deal with on top of this one I've been battling for months. But since you say Yasmin really helped your skin I'll definitely look into going on it. Thanks again! :)
  14. Hey everyone, I'm new. I never had an acne problem before - the only problem area I would say is my forehead, which had a bunch of whiteheads at any given time all throughout high school. Getting photo facials and using Murad face wash, in addition to tweezing instead of waxing my brows, really helped. My skin was finally starting to look pretty. But then... I started taking birth control because I have PCOS. I went on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and it was fine at first. But then I started breaking ou
