  1. Btw, quick update on the procedure. It's been 4 months since I had subcision done on several areas on my face and everything has finally healed well and the bumps left behind from the procedure are pretty much gone. If I look very closely I can see a tiny hint of a bump on one area. As a whole my skin is a lot smoother than it's been in years. Any depressions from acne scarring are now raised and I am quite happy. There is one area on the right side he didn't work on and maybe in the future I wi
  2. I don’t not know the depth of your scarring or the severity, but I have talked to several plastic surgeons and they all agree lasers will not fill in deep scaring. It is virtually impossible. Lasers are for very superficial marks. It's like trying to fill in a ditch with a light layer of asphalt. It will coat the ditch but will not make it level with the rest of the road. Also, save your money on chemical peels. I am a licensed esthetician and I know from personal experience that peels will no
  3. Well what you said is a fail I was confident, i showed her i like her and this is what she said. "I wish I could like you in that way, because you're a great guy, also, I think you liked me too much. You didn't give us a chance to be real friends before you said you liked me. Nobody can know the real me after 2 months, I'm complicated. And the rebound thing. Was right. Just being dumped, I felt like I needed someone to love me to feel good about myself, so I was really happy when I found o
  4. Your routine is essential for your skin. There are SO many people who follow the type of routine you follow and break out like crazy! Not washing one's face (or at least not using products, as I'm sure that when someone says "not washing" they mean they only use water) is usually best for people who have acne that is caused by dryness, irritation, or cosmetics/ingredients. Not everyone breaks out due to hormonal changes or internal reasons, and sebum levels does not determine the level of acn
  5. How would not washing your face clear up acne? Acne is the cause of a sluggish cell turnover rate, high oil production, hormones and overgrowth of p.acnes. Exfoliating and washing with a gentle cleanser is a necessary part of my daily routine in order for my skin to remain clear. With regular glycolic peels and my clarisonic brush I have really kept my breakouts under control.
  6. Yes, most were shallow and a few deeper dents on my upper cheeks. None were icepick. He said they were boxcar scars. What is the Kenalog injection? I was reading up on 5-FU and it is a chemotherapy drug for cancer patients which blocks dna replication. Although I realize it will be very small quantities, I'm not sure I want something like that shot into my face. Steroid injection..it is potent and can eat away tissue and fat. Well, the problem with acne itself and many of the treat
  7. Get a Clarisonic face brush and you can use any make-up you want. It is a miracle worker. After I bought mine, it helped clear my face significantly. It vibrates and helps dislodge make-up trapped in your pores, which will not be completely removed with normal washing. Plus most acne sufferers have a sluggish cell turnover rate, and the brush will also help clear out the dead skin. Previously, I was using a lot of mineral make-up, having believed the myth that it is good for your skin, and I go
  8. It's a myth that milk is the best source of calcium. It is not and humans can't properly digest cow's milk. Just cut it out completely. Dark leafy greens are a much better source of calcium. If you are stuck on milk products, only have high quality plain yogurt rich in probiotics, which will help maintain healthy bacteria in your stomach. It is also a good source of protein and stops overgrowth of yeast and candida which can lead to acne breakouts among other things.
  9. How do you know she doesn't want to talk to you? What did she do exactly? It could be your own insecurity projecting your own feelings on to her. I agree with the other girl. It's not about your scarring. It's about your confidence. In any case, whether she likes you or not, your worth shouldn't be determined by one person's opinion. Girl's don't prefer guys with perfect skin. We prefer guys who aren't afraid to show they like us and who are confident enough to be themselves and not care what ot
  10. Oops...it was Dec. 24th, actually.

  12. I just read a doctor's response to someone who had the same problem with subcision lumps and he said "sometimes 5-FU injection can reduce the bump." Does anyone know about or have experience with this injection?
  13. Judging from your picture, I would say you are very pretty and I don't see any acne to be upset about. I understand feeling hopeless and sad, but confidence is one thing men find very attractive in a women. So even if you don't feel it, pretend until you are! You look great. Stop beating yourself up and get out and do some exercise. It really does help make one feel happy and empowered. Also, there is prescription BP that they mix at the pharmacy and has active antibiotics in it. The over-the-co
  14. My doctor told me about 5-6 times a day for 5 minutes at a time. You push down to the bone.
  15. It was a few weeks ago, like mid may. My doctor was David Spencer out of Winston-Salem, NC. What initially got me to choose him was the price. He was charging 550 for any scar on my faced that needed subcising plus a chemical peel. The other place I was looking at was trying to charge 250 per half dollar sized area, so I would have ended up paying alot seeing as in how my scars were spaced apart. I was kinda skeptical thinking he might not be a good doc if he's charging so little, but he tur
