  1. I've never used chemicals before, never wanted to as I didn't want to rely on them, lately I've been thinking about trying either one of two mentioned, but I keep reading so much information that they age the skin, which is the last thing I need. Curious thoughts?
  2. Thank you for your constant help also, does mean a lot. I've definitely had tests, as mentioned in my reply to WishClean I haven't had a "proper" hormone test just for the reason being that no doc has be willing as they say it will be inaccurate as I am on the pill. I will perhaps go to a new doctor clinic altogether. I haven't had a test of PCOS either, perhaps I will do that. Though I don't really have other symptoms..that I know of. I guess that's my biggest issue, is my body isn't giving m
  3. Thanks for your reply! more hormone came back "normal" one test that I did a few years ago, however every time I request hormone tests the doctors refuse, as I am on the pill, they basically just say I won't be getting an accurate reading of what my "real" hormones are doing. Something like that. Is there a specialist I could look up and go to that would be better than just a doc. Seems like every time I go to the docs they deflect my questions, make me feel like an idiot and basically won't re
  4. I know this post should probably go in the hormonal section, but it's more of a bodily/health question, as I've been "natural" my whole acne journey in all my choices, except for birth control. So I don't feel I need to go into my specifics as ..I've been doing that for years haha. For now, I'm just at a crossroad. I still have acne even while on Diane 35. I've been on it for about 3/4 years now. However it's worth pointing out I started on the pill at around age 16, I never had an ounce of
  5. thank you for the suggestions I will look into it for sure. I'm curious if there are really any lone explanations for these forehead bumps, is there any known specific cause?
  6. I don't sleep on my side as I have jaw issues, I'm i guess "trained" my body to always sleep on my back. and either way I clean my pillow cases very regularly and use allergy free washing powder. I also don't use things like fragrances, soap or anything chemical around my face. Would salicylic acid peels work if these bumps continuously come and go? wouldn't it only help, until they came back? I also haven't used chemicals on my face and I don't want to damage my skin more I guess I've never r
  7. Hi, I've somewhat stopped trying to treat my acne, I've definitely exhausted all my options, I've just been living and accepting it's apart of me. One thing that I've been thinking on most lately though is how temperamental my acne is. For months at a time. One month I'll be considerably clear, only a few bumps ad maybe just one pimple. Others months I break out like nothing before. I won't even bother trying to figure out why it's a mystery but one question I wish could be answered is w
  8. Hi guys, I've been getting into juicing a lot more lately since kale became available at the store (I've always just used silverbeet as I live in Aus and greens seem quite limited). Anyway, I'm having trouble actually juicing greens. I'm under the impression they can be juicing to a smooth texture? I have two "blenders", one has very, very fine blades, this does a great job at juicing, however with the greens it just chops them up and no juice actually comes out the other side. Today I
  9. alternativista, I appreciate this post thanks again for all the info. I'm curious, there's a lot of talk about magnesium, zinc and vitamin D. If one has acne due to something they have 'done' in their life that has 'activated' the gene (rather than it being an allergy etc), is it being suggested that taking these three supplements may just help 'deactivate' the acne gene in that particular person? I'm curious on your thoughts as I think I have something interesting to add..
  10. Hi FSAS What was the rest of your protocol while on the grape seed oil? Were you using cleansers, BP, SA, etc? What was your diet? Thanks for your thoughts. Hey there, I've never used chemical cleansers in my life, I'm 21 now but I was quite restricted young so all I ever ate was healthy food and used natural products whilst living in the country because there was just no junk food around or big shops with heaps of products type thing. I still have never used chemicals. I've tried many diffe
  11. what's funny is my acne has all the signs of the typical female hormonal type acne (yet I do have most of my acne on my forehead and cheeks/chin rather jaw). but whenever I drink alcohol my acne is actually at it's best and I don't think about my acne at all so it's not a case of "you just forget about the acne and less stressed" because really if I'm drinking alcohol at all something seriously stressful has happened like an event and thus turn to alcohol so really I have everything against me,
  12. I used grape seed oil topically for about 8 months. The first week or two I was 100% clear (and I have never been 100% clear since I got acne). However as the weeks went by my acne came back and even after the 8 months of using it it has no effect so I stopped using it altogether. Have no idea why the first week or two happened like it did though.. so gutted when my acne came back just as bad as ever I don't remember what it's like to have clear skin so that week was like a dream haha.
  13. Thanks for your reply I appreciate it. I've definitely looked up DIM before but there was always so many mixed reviews so I was just confused and didn't wanna take a risk. But I actually think I will look into it. Although I'm curious if it's safe on the pill? Do you think it might throw my hormones off more whilst taking DIM while on birth control? Have you tried it before? Thanks again so much! No problem DIM removes excess estrogens so I don't think it would be a good idea to ta
  14. Hello everyone Again, exploring all my options all over again for the 3-4th time. Regarding wheat/gluten etc. I had a celiac test like a year ago and it came back negative and the doc said I'm definitely not intolerant to wheat. I still avoid it where I can of course but I'm just curious if the signs of wheat intolerance can be almost unnoticeable? I don't have any of the obvious symptoms at all and never have but I do have acne, albeit it's not spontaneous acne i've learned it's cy
