  1. Update. So I know I said I was going to keep doing water one night, products the next for awhile but I've decided that going 2 nights with water, then the next with products works much better for my skin. My skin isn't as oily and it looks a bit better so far. Whenever I wash with products, I always notice so much dead skin after I rinse my face wash off. And when I rub my moisturizer in, it kind of rubs the dead skin off a bit so I actually think thats a good thing because it's exfoliating a b
  2. UPDATE! So what I've been doing for the past 3 days is washing with products one day, washing with water the next. I'm going to be doing that for awhile. Hopefully my skin won't be as oily and will look a bit better. Unfortunately, the breakouts just keep on coming. My face looks kind of gross right now. I have tons of pimples on my forehead, and oddly enough, tons on my right cheek only. My skin also has tons of dead skin on it but I will not exfoliate it! It's been a week since I stopped th
  3. I think I will not exfoliate for the next 4 weeks. Right now, I don't seem to have any dead skin on my face, so who knows what'll happen. I will update every now then. Right now, I am breaking out fairly bad but I expected it since my skin doesn't have that "barrier" anymore. I have 6 or so pimples on my forehead, 2 on my left cheek, 1 on my right cheek and a couple tiny ones on my chin. And unfortunately they are all quite noticable. But I expected that as well. My skin is looking kind of crapp
  4. In my opinion, Salicylic Acid would work better with whiteheads but that's just me.
  5. Nice grammar and spelling there, above poster. ^ Anyways, how long have you been on Murad? It still just might need time to start working. Apart from that, it seems like you are doing everything right. I don't really think it matters if you wash your face at the gym or when you get home. Honestly, I don't think it'll make much of a difference. Dan's regimen might help with whiteheads. You might want to try Tea Tree Oil. It helped with my whiteheads when I was using it.
  6. Well guys, I'm done. I lasted 89 long days on the water-only regimen. I've been thinking about stopping for awhile now but finally decided to do it last night. Before the water regimen, my skin was terrible. I was using a thousand harsh products a day and my skin looked soo bad. It had PIH everywhere (still does), it was extremely red and my pores were so big and noticable. So in doing this regimen, I think I really just got to a point where my skin was almost 'normal'. My new regimen is goin
  7. Day 83 @Ashley: You mean happy doing the whole regimen or just exfoliating? I'm happy with both. It felt really good to exfoliate. I have thought about using products again but I'm going to wait awhile still. Yeah, I've decided to do a full face exfoliation about a once a month. Hopefully I start shedding properly because right now, I know my face definitely isn't. I've broken out after exfoliating but I kind of expected that. I've got 2 large whiteheads on my face and 2 on my left cheek. They
  8. Day 80 I just couldn't take it anymore. I finally broke down and exfoliated my skin with a washcloth. I exfoliated my entire face. My skin was looking soo gross and feeling disgusting. I mean I had built up dead skin that was two months old! The dead skin that wouldn't come off on the sides of my face.. I forced it. I scrubbed my cheeks so hard. Probably scrubbed my face too hard but oh well. I aggravated a few pimples in the process. It felt amazing to exfoliate. I used a dark washcloth so I c
  9. Just echoing what Brandy said, and saying that yeah, oxidizing is most likely the issue here. Maybe it was the lighting? Oh and just putting in my input but personally I really, really dislike the Almay Smart Shade foundation. It looks like a mask and it oxidizes for me anyways.. but it might works for you, who knows!
  10. Day 76 Yeah, the dry skin on the sides of my face isn't tight or anything, just dry. Actually, I've kind of always had dry skin there but it was never that noticable so I just left it. I've tried exfoliating it before, it literally doesn't come off. The flakes are like part of my skin. -_- Even if I try to rub my nail over it, it won't come off. I really don't know what to do. I've been applying some moisturizer to a bit of it near my ears so try and help. It hasn't done much.. Yeah, I have a r
  11. Day 74 Ah crap, sorry Ashley, I didn't realize you had posted in my log. XD It's been awhile since I've updated. Well 13 days actually. Um, every night I turn my water in the tap to cool and just splash my face 3 or 4 times. I try not to rub or do much of anything. Then I pay dry with a towel or a kleenex. That's basically it. So the sides of my face are still really dry and so is the area around my nose. Especially the little grove things on my nose. I exfoliated those last night, but only t
  12. Day 61 Two months officially! Sorry I haven't been updating lately if anyone cares. Since my last update my skin has had it's ups and downs. I am breaking out currently but I wasn't really for awhile. My oil level is really low. I'm barely oily anymore. My skin looks disgusting though. :/ The sides of my face are sooo dry. I don't know why. I've never washed the sides of my face with any products before anyways so they technically shouldn't be affected. A guy even pointed it out to my the o
  13. I'm not sure why someone above said that you shouldn't post your updates in this.. It's perfectly fine too. In face, that's what your supposed to do! And good luck with your regimen, I'll be following your log!
  14. Day 50 My oil level definitely came down over the past 4 days. It wasn't completely like starting over so my oilyness went down wayy quicker than it did in the beginning. Breakout are not doing so well. I am breaking out galore on my forehead. Small ones, all clustered together among bigger ones as well. Oh well, hopefully they will go down. I'm back to drinking green tea everyday. I forgot how much I love it! So, overall, my skin is sucking.
