  1. UPDATE. It seems as though I'm slowly going back to having bad skin. I'm really not sure what's going on here.... I'm back to intense breakouts... my skin is a mess. Going to the derm next week
  2. I'm aware of the dangers of citrus regarding dental care. I've already been asked to cut down on orange juice by my dentist (it's my favorite drink) Though darkening of the teeth sounds very unusual... all that happened to my teeth was enamel loss. Mainly because I never used a straw
  3. I am not. I break out under stress and during my period. The past month has been rather stressful. Though, things have been better in the past week since I had a mini vacation and I changed my skin care steps a bit! :] I started using Cetaphil cleanser. Though, I have to say, it's an awkard feeling product on the skin. I do suggest using it though! It seems to be working and it's inexpensive. Another thing is that I've been cow's milk free for almost 2 weeks! I switched over to almo

  5. Sorry to say, but this isn't something you can avoid. It's going to have to come out. On the bright side, this is the reaction that you WANT :] It looks like things are working. Most initial breakouts last a few months, so you need to just hang in there.
  6. No, you should be fine. I've found that all I need is 2 days off tretinoin when my skin is raw. Try not to exfoliate and try using a gentle cleanser during your time off :]
  7. It was about 2-3 months until things started clearing. Sometimes, it's longer for some people. No, I've never heard that about moisturizer. I've always used moisturizer and I've seen very positive results.
  8. Lemonberry

SO smooth and hydrating! Super inexpensive Perfect nighttime moisturizer NEVER clogs pores! Some dislike the smell. It is strong. Personally, I don't mind it. I love this stuff! Perfect for super dry skin! Also great for hands and elbows! I recommend using this as soon as you step out of the shower!
  9. Well I'm no expert, but I believe that's only true if you're using a BP leave-on at the same time as tretinoin. Though, I've asked myself the same question. All I can tell you is that I've been washing my face with BP every time before I apply the tretinoin and my results have been fantastic! As far as the irritation goes, BP itself is super irritating. When I first used both products together, it was burning and intense irritation. So please, start slow and use SMALL amounts. Try using it
  10. I'm not sure about that making much of a difference. I know if I did that, my face would feel like a mask. I've always used my moisturizer right after a shower and was told by my dermatologist to mix the tretinoin with the moisturizer and apply it. I apologize to anyone looking for new pictures. It's been a bad week. They will be up soon
  11. Moisturizing 10 mins after applying? I always moisturize as soon as I step out of the shower or as soon as I finish washing my face. After all, it seems to be universally known that the best time to moisturize is when your skin is still damp and your pores are open. Normally I let the moisturizer sink in and then I apply the tretinoin. In my experience, if I do the opposite, the moisturizer just doesn't clear the dry skin
  12. Yes, I wouldn't want you to stop so early into your treatment! I'm sure things are going to get better for you
  13. Your face sounds like it was responding normally actually. My breakouts were as bad as it gets and this lasted about 2 or 3 months. Now, my skin is the clearest it's ever been in my life. :] It's the initial breakout and it's a necessary part of managing your acne. Your skin is purging itself and it's completely normal. If you go back on it, you need to realize that the breakouts are going to come back. No way to avoid it. You really just need to hang in there.
  14. Jordan9595 this sounds like a VERY typical initial breakout. This is good news! Don't give up :] Your skin is just purging and it's going to be a while. What I can, tell you is that you're most likely halfway through your initial breakout. It took my skin 2-3 months to start showing improvement. Just relax and let your skin do it's work. And remember to moisturize!
