  1. If you have BMI on 18-19 you will probably GAIN weight on paleo. The thing with paleo is that it regulates your hunger, food burning to a level where you have an ideal weight. So if you are skinny you gain, if you are fat you loose. When speaking about calories in and calories out its not so easy at all. Read Gary Taubes 'Good Calories, Bad Calories'
  2. I searched for this topic, but I didnt find any threads about it. We all know that digestion is linked up with acne. And then its natural that if you improve your digestion, its also high chances you reduce your acne. There has been many popular threads on this forum about digestion, f.ex the thread about not drinking while eating, because you then dilute your enzymes or something. However, this thread is about keeping distance between the meals. The theory is quite simple - if you let the f
  3. I think this knowledge is very useful, eg distance between meals etc - and especially the focus on how important digestion is. I mean you can eat very healthy but still have a sucky digestion, then it doesnt help so much to eat healthy - fix your digestion, i think its a key to get rid of acne
  4. http://www.absoluteacneinfo.com/guide/raw-milk.html maybe not so extremely scientific but still some good points

  6. OP: The reason you got acne in that period, can be maaaany things, and many things you might now be aware of. However, your eating habits can be one of those factors yes - but eating one time a day do I believe is probably healthy, as long as its not right before bed time. If you eat 1 time a day your digestive system gets a lot of rest every day. However, if your meal is really big it is again a lot of work for your digestion. You also said you snacked alot during the other hours. the best
  7. I have heard you should drink min 15min before a meal, 2 hours after a starchy meal and 4 hours if proteinmeal. But this is very disputeable, I dont know for sure, but I believe drinking while eating is not good for digesting.
  8. Conventional wisdom suggests that butter is unhealthy, and they rather propose to eat artificial fats like margarin. So I'd say to you, trust Bee's diet - at least, butter is healthy in my opinion. Especially if raw.
  9. Tried it for 3 weeks. Did nothing for me =)
  10. Stevia is better, because it does not affect blood sugar at all, unlike other sweeteners (not absorbed into the bloodstream, so it has no side effects). Erythritol does not affect blood sugar at all either. Marksdailyapple.com
  11. Honey is of course better than sugar, and also contains some vitamins/minerals which is beneficial. But unfortunately its bascially almost only sugar in it, and it will probably affect your acne in a bad way. The best sweetener is probably http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythritol Good luck!
  12. http://www.marksdailyapple.com/difference-...sweet-potatoes/ I think this can clear up many things for you!
  13. Im not so sure that oil makes acne, at least not as a rule, because I have noticed sometimes I have had a lot of oil, but still very little acne
  14. To be honest I don't think it looks too bad. However, if you suspect you get nauesous of it, you should really try to limit or avoid to see what of it which gives you side-effects. It can be some of the additives in the pills. If you want to compensate with lack of pills you can simply start to eat a more acne-combatting diet, which in short is: trying to eat more raw, few meals a day, less sugar/carbohydrates, sleep better and more regulate- do that and your acne will disappear quite fast.
