  1. Hi Everyone, Not sure if people will read this but thought it would be a good idea to get my thoughts and feelings written down. And also some progress pictures. I am 29 this month, and have been on roaccutane before, once in 2010 (I had cystic acne over my face, neck, chest and back) which kept me more or less clear until 2013. I went on another low dose course which kept me more clear with the odd breakout until August this year. I'm hoping that this 3rd one will see me out for good a

    2Nd Time Roaccutane Log

Thank you! Hopefully this will do it for good!
  3. Hey everyone, So I was once a constant user of this site. In December 2010 I started my first course of accutane, it was my dream come true to finally sort my skin out. I finished that course 8mths later in August 2011 and everything was wonderful. Here is my old log if anyone wants to check it out, some pics still remain, especially the end ones where my skin was amazing!! Fast forward to today and my acne is back, I thought it was pretty bad but Ive just been looking through o
  4. Hey guys! Been a while since I gave an update so Ive included some pics too . Been off Roaccutane since August now and things have been pretty damn good (touch wood!!). Oil hasnt come back I dont think, apart from maybe in my hair, but even then I still dont have to wash it everyday like I used to. Lips and dry skin have disappeared too! Any questions that anyone who is on accutane right how want to ask just feel free. Easiest the best thing I have ever ever done!!! Love to
  5. Hey everyone, So my course is finally done and dusted. 22 weeks later and i'm honestly a changed person to how I was. I'm for the first time in over a year...happy . Although for the most part my skin is clear, I do still get the odd spot, whether thats because i'm a girl, hormones etc I dont know. I am really anxious though to come off roaccutane just in case it comes back so Ive made an appointment with my derm on wednesday to see what he thinks I should do if it does. Also I went to see a
  6. Day103 Quick pic update as promised...really happy with the progress so far. Only 7.5 weeks to go and i'll be all done! Enjoy .
  7. Hey guys, Sorry its been a while, I'm near the end of my second year in university and my coursework load has been unreal!! I believe it is Day 99 nearly triple digits yeya! Anyways, been to see my derm this morning and he was glad that things were improving, even though i'm still getting little pesky spots. None on my back or forehead for ageees though. Just mainly on my jaw line, but nothing too worrying. So my dose has been increased to 60mg and thats for the next 2 months after which my
  8. Hey everyone, I'm finding as my skin gets better i'm updating less and less, so apologies there... So its Day81 Skin news...everything is getting gradually better. Im still getting spots but theyre tiny and if they are a little bigger theyre all on my chin or jawline, they come to a head in a day and with savlon and sudocrem disappear in a couple of days. Ive just made an appointment with my derm for the 28th March and hopefully ill get 2 more months worth at least as I still have clogged po
  9. Little pic update.... It shows my hormonal breakout but other than that its not all bad . Plus, its 70days on, so the start of my course until today!
  10. Nice one Braze! I'm glad things are going well for you . It has been a while though so here goes... Day 73 In to my 11th week, wheyyy! So lets see, last tuesday/wednesday my skin was looking pretty good, I actually walkedaround the fat with no makeup on for the first time in months. I had to go on antibiotics last week as I was poorly and they affected my contraceptive pill absorbtion so the inevitable happened a week early and my face broke out....again (and still kinda is). However, I we
  11. Hey lovely! Just popped by to see how youre getting on...must be so frustrating for you to be still getting cysts, bloody horrible things. Did you speak to your derm about upping your dose. Since I increased mine, things seem to have been happening quicker, although it maybe just down to how long ive been on the medication. Anyways, have a fab weekend and keep on smiling! Like my mum says to me, youre through the worst of it. xxx
  12. I for one dont exfoliate my skin while on accutane, my skin is really sensitive. The clinique moisturiser is more than enough for me, The only dry place on my face is my lips. Good luck when you start your course :). Day 60 So i'm into my 9th week. Things seem to be very up and down lately, one day my skin wont look half bad and then the next it'll have broken out. This morning I had 3 new ones which was a little upsetting, hopefully now i'm in my 3rd month things will start clearing a

  14. I agree with KimiaK. There's no reason why you shouldnt not have alcohol if your tests all come back good. Although be careful as you may find you get drunk much quicker and your hangover may be a little more lethal. Have fun!

    Bite me, Acne. Meet Accutane.

Jeez, I feel for all of you that have to go through the iPledge system. Thankfully in the UK we dont have anything like that. All I had to to was a blood test and sign a piece of paper declaring that I wouldnt get pregnant on my course and voila, here are your pills! Good luck though, hopefully you will be starting soon enough!
