    Ooops! 2013

So I'm back... I realized that i miss writing about my acne experiences. So this year has been full of up's and down's. My acne did seem to 'seatlle' down a bit, but has always been there (which sucks!). BUT apprently my body likes being pregnant, my face was so clear, the best it has been in YEARS! Unfortunately it was short lived as things didnt work out, and I MC at 11 weeks ( . After that I broke out worst then ever and my face looked like poo. So because my face was breaking out lik

    Lost My Initial Enthusiasm

I just read up on what seborrheic dermatitis was, and after reading up on it, I would decrease your BP usage as it will dry out your skin more, therefore possibly worsening the seborrheic dermatitis. Something that helped with my eczema (which would appear on my chin at times) was to apply zinc cream (zincofax). but there is also many other things you can use. If you read up on it on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seborrhoeic_dermatitis) you can see a list of treatments suggested.

    Its Been A Little While....

Ok, so I feel a bit behind with my postings, could be a good/bad thing! Ok so I've realized that I get my worse breakouts the week or so AFTER my period (so when I'm ovulating.....SORRY if that was TMI). As a 'face' update, well it has also been up and down. My acne that i am getting isn't as bad as it use to be, and I rarely if ever get cysts . I still get a few 'harded sebum' acne, mainly around my jaw & temples/upper cheek. So compared to what it use to be, I really cannot complain. Als

    Question For Canadians

Well I've never taken accutane, but I do work for an insurance company. Regarding claiming the drug under your plan, you may want to call your provider as most group plans can differ (even within the same company!) I do know that sometimes you can get a better reimbursement if you get the generic kind of the drug versus the brand name (example, If I purchase a generic drug my plan reimburses 90%, but will only reimburse 75% for brand name). - another thing to watch out for is at the pharmacy,

    Its already Mid September!!

Wow does time fly!! So I have modified my 'routine' a tiny bit. I have started to use Spectro Jel for sensitive skin, pads in the AM before i wash my face and in the PM to get my make up off. Otherwise I have still been using the Only Green Vada line. My face has improved soo much over the past few months. Yes I still get clogged pores, and zit like once a week. BUT I'm not getting as many as I use to! And that makes me happy! I'm also happy that my face has not irrupted on me due to all th

    Mid-August!

Well I woke up today, and felt good about how my face is looking. I have one spot on my cheek that is deciding if it is coming or going, and I have a few small red spots from zits that I picked at (but they are almost gone)! I think I have found a regime that is working for me Its been 2 1/2 months or so since I have started using the Only Green - Vada line, and I am loving it! My pores are looking smaller, my face isn't overly oily any more, my breakouts are fewer and not as intense, just a

    Nanoblur -- anyone tried it?

They have some reviews on Make up alley regarding this product, they gave it a 3.2 out of 5... It seems to work great for some and not so great for others.

Spearmint tea has REDUCED my Oily skin/Pores.

Kinda of a silly question, but after reading this post I also have started to drink a mint/spearmint tea. But how big is a cup of tea? It is like the 4oz size?? I only ask cause I use my starbucks 20oz mug for my tea. Thanks!!

    TRIED EVERYTHING...NOTHING WORKS!

Hello! Well I'm hoping that you can find a regime that works for you! I have read in previous posts that the IUD maybe causing your breakouts. There is a thread on somehwere on here about it you may want to read. You can also try using a mild natural cleanser. I had been using a high end brand of facial wash, toner & moisterizer once, it was ok and helped to clear me up, but I was still getting lots of break outs when my period came. Now I'm using stuff that is more natural and getting w
  11. First off, I hope that this will be over for you soon, it does look painful! But like a previous poster, it does seem that alot your spots are infected. A few things you can try and you wont break the bank! - Ice - Teatree oil (helps with infections, non drying) - honey mask Since I'm not in the Uk, I took a gander at the boots.com website. One product that may help, and NOT overly dry out your skin any more would be: - Eucerin Purifyer Cleanser - Witch oil control foaming face wash - burts B

    Nutz!

Nutz! I think I spoke too soon in my last post about being clear. As of this AM I have a zit starting to come up below my jaw line. Stupid zit But I guess I was expecting a breakout as my period is about to start in less than a week. So I'm going to blame any new zits that come up this week on my hormones & the peanut butter filled pretzels I ate (But they are sooo good!!). Ok, so no more pretzles, and I'll be sure to drink up my tea.
  13. Hey! I think we can all say that acne has affect us in a negetive way. But it how you can take a negetive and turn it into a positive, and your whole life will change. A log I read recently on the org, and that has touched alot of people (hoping this will stay!) here it is: http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Log-Times...ty-t166628.html This person has kept an AMAZING attitude thru a difficult time. And is an inspiration to many people. But in all, you cannot let acne keep you from acheiving

    Is it really August!?!

WOWZERS! I can't believe August is here already. My how time flies by way to fast!! This past weekend, I also had my 10yr high school reunion, it was nice to see how people 'grow' up, and most aren't as clique as they were in high school. Yet at the same time, I felt that some people were surprised at other peoples accomplisments. Its like certain people exceeded expectations of other classmates. I also went to another football game this weekend (Go Sask Rough Riders!!) But we lost another ga

    July Is Almost Over!

Ugh, I can't beleive July is almost over! It doens't feel like it was that long ago it was the start of a new year! Oh well, time goes by regardless I want it to or not! Ok so for a quick update, I had 3 small zits crawl up on me yesterday night, luckly 2 of there were harded sebum that my skin was pushing out, and one was a small whitehead I think. Well anyways they were super easy to extract, and they didn't get inflammed like ususal. So I must be doing something right! Oh and recent
