  1. BTW it has been noted that too much lemon juice can cause breakouts...so u really have to stick to a teaspoon per glass i think..this seems to be working fine for me, as is leaving on vinegar after applying it...some ppl wash it off, but i think it works better on, and the brand i use doesnt leave a bad smell either.....
  2. hey guys.. basically i wash my face with cetaphil cleanser (or the ponds cleanser if i have make up on) and then straight after patting it dry i apply the vinegar mixture (1/2 apple cider vinegar, 1/2 water) to my face... that dries, and i wait as long as i can make time for to put on BP. I only use about 2 or 3 pea size balls because i dont have any more active acne so i dont need too much.. after that i wait another five minutes and put on a bit of moisturizer... then during the day i drin
  3. [SIZE=14]hey guys!! ive been using doing this for four months: vinegar at least once a day, drinking lemon juice with water and the tape method whenever i dont use vinegar after washing my face, combined with the regimen (although using slightly less BP) and i have to say four months later, my skin is looking pretty damn good. i used to have cystic acne on my cheeks and although that went away last year when i took accutane, i was left with RED, RED marks on my cheeks and they were really notic
  4. mmm... well ive been using the tape method but other than that havent used anything on my scars because my derm told me to wait at least 2 years before i have anything like laser surgery because otherwise it will wreck my skin! currently i use maybelline shine control stick foundation and i love it, doesnt make me break out at all and gives me good coverage but like everyone says it really is heavy and i hate putting on my face every day.... if i could find something more powder based l

  8. hey i had severe acne and ive been on 40 mg a day since the beginning and its still worked... your derm will prob increase it slowly to make sure you dont break out as bad at the start, but dont get too worried! even at 40mg my initial breakout was about 4 pimples in the second month and THAT WAS ALL!

  15. ive been on accutane for about a month now and since starting my skin has improved, except for my nose where blackheads have come up all along the top and in the corners... anyone got any suggestions to get rid of them? skin is sensitive while on accutane so what do i do? leave them alone? use a pore strip on them? try and squeeze them? what can i do?
  16. I was just wondering whether accutane will get rid of red marks that are left on skin after cystic acne. after finishing a course of accutane does the redness fade and go away?
  17. hi i have really sensitive skin and i use l'oreal sensitive makeup remover which is good for make up and it doesnt affect your acne... it comes in a blue bottle and is good because u can reapply makeup straight away if you want to
  18. hi ppl ive been on accutane for just over a week now and my skin has strangely become more oily! Only my lips and nose have become slightly dry, other than that my skin seems to be much oiler although i am not breaking out. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Also, i am only on 40 mg i day cos i weigh 45kg.does that mean the dose cannot really be increased any more?
  19. hi ppl just wondering whether using painkillers for things like headaches or period pain are not meant to be taken with accutane... does anyone know if you are meant to avoid these things? if you need to use a paracetamol tablet or something which has codeine in it, does that screw around with accutane? also, what affect does alcohol have...are you meant to just avoid it completely or can u still have a few drinks?
  20. thanks for the advice guys! also wanted to ask another question...with accutane, is it ok to take other tablets such as hayfever tablets or panadeine if needed for any reason? my derm didn't really elaborate on anything he just said not to take any vitamins.... also, for anyone wondering what makeup is ok for acne skin, my derm gave me a booklet which advised these brands: 1. Revlon new complexion oil free 2. Innoxa oil free foundation 3. Estee Lauder double matte oil control makeup
  21. hi everyone im starting accutane tomorrow and am a bit nervous is there anything drastic i should be expecting in the first month or any products i should be using for dry skin? any help would be great!
