  1. I do the jojoba oil before BP both day and night in a way similar to what I described above, but with less jojoba oil and time. I use about 5-6 drops for my whole face. At first I start dabbing them on problem areas (eyelids, around mouth, sides of face), and then I put on the rest and sort of pat it on. I use a massaging technique similar to what I described in my really long post above, but not for nearly as long, just to cover my face. If I accidentally used too much jojoba oil, I might b
  2. just something to add to this.. after cleansing putting about 5-10 drops on your face, then waiting for it to dry, then BP makes a big difference too. i found that it took away my lobster face and kept my face more hydrated. and if youre still flakey before applying the moisturizer.. add a couple drops of it to that aswell. your face will thank you for it.
  3. im still doing the regimen twice a day everyday.. but i think jojoba oil might help your situation. putting it on atfer or with the SPF lotion your using might bring some healthy shine back to your face. its quite the little miracle worker!
  4. thats awesome! im pretty much exactly where you are (2 months in and pretty much no blemishes.. just some red marks) i just wanted to add in that i think your face got really irritated from using the AHA too much to start. even dan himself i think says he uses it about once a week, but you can work yourself up to using it every night or every other night. but by the looks of it you use it everyday now with the jojoba oil scrub (which i love aswell). good luck!
  5. i believe the regimen is for those who have tried everything else.. and nothing has worked (like myself) and also cant afford the pricey treatments from a specialist. that, and those treatments wont keep your acne away after doing it once. dan's regimen is a cheap facial routine to do every morning and night just like every other face washing system.. difference is it actually works (maybe minus those that are allergic to BP) you may not like it, but others like myself have seen it as a miracle
  6. BP is a world wide known way to fight acne.. my own doctor told me to use it. your EXPERT prolly wanted some money out of you.. because ive never heard of any "skin extraction" you can get anywhere but a dermatologist's office. BP puts oxygen into our pores, and makes it impossible for bacteria to live there.. thus, no pimples. almost every acne wash, lotion, or even some astrigents have either BP or salicylic acid in it.. which can also be very irritating and drying to the skin, but it fights
  7. because if it needed to be diluted.. it would have been suggested in part of the regimen instructions. you've tested it on your face and you said it didnt break you out.. so use it! your face will thank you for it.
  8. ive been on the regimen for 2 months. im vertually clear of blemishes.. get one or two a week but just mostly red marks left over. HOWEVER... there is this one lump on my chin from a HUGE cyst that came up WEEKS ago. it isnt painfull whatsoever anymore... but its still reddish (like post pimple red, nothing that looks irritated) and its STILL a large lump that wont go down. has anyone ever found a good way to make these flatten out? i never poked or squeezed at it when it first came up, all th
  9. use something under dan's recommended products for the best results. or go to the review boards and find something else that is good for acne prone skin. im using cetaphil, and i have absolutely no complains about it. gets rid of all the flakes, and makes my face feel hydrated. thats just my point of view tho, others arent a fan of the texture and how heavy it can feel. good luck.
  10. once you do this a couple times all the flakes will be vurtually gone. even the stubborn ones. try to sit down and watch a half hour show or something while you gently massage your face for that time. i usually do it for an hour if possible even when i dont have dry skin anymore. it just feels nice massaging skin for 30 minutes? isnt that way too irritat it shouldnt be unless youre doing it vigerously. doing it gently for that amount of time and avoiding your active pimples (or ju

  12. O RLY? Cuz I happen to have this stuff lying around It's 1% Hydrocortisone with Inactive Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Palmitate, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Citric Acid, CyclopentaSiloxane, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethyl MEA, Glycerin, Isopropyl Myristate, Isostearyl Neopentanoate, Methylparaben, PEG 40 Stearate, Potassium Lactate, Sodium Hydroxide, Water
  13. if youve been spot testing it for 2 weeks now, it should be fine to apply over your whole face. if your skin didnt like it, you would have seen either a break out or irritation by now in that spot. mm, well it was deffinatly a roller coaster. my face didnt change much at all for about.. a month. by the end of the second week (just like dan says on what to expect) i got a horrible breakout. i got about 3-4 new breakouts everyday for about 3 or 4 days.. after that it only got better. during wee
  14. the immunity thing youre talking about is very true, but if you are only using it for spot treatments.. your skin doesnt have enough time to get used to it and to build up that immunity. cause our zits only last up to 4-5 days tops right? if you were still breaking out regularily and at the beginning stages of the regimen, then yes.. slathering it on your face everywhere wouldnt be a smart way to go at all. but as for us who are vertually clear, its a damn good zit zapper
  15. lots of people use it before the BP step of the regimen. i have been for over half of the time that i have been on the regimen approx. 2 months and i havent seen anything but progress.. and not to mention any flakes or dryness. i heard that the jojoba oil can make the BP penitrate deeper into your pores aswell.
  16. hydrocortisone cream works the best for my spot treatments. i put it on after my moisturizer has absorbed into my skin. dries it right up, and takes out a lot of the swelling and redness.
  17. 1. if you feel like you might have started too fast, you probably have. at this point, you should be using about only a half a pump, or a 1/4 fingers length of BP. some peoples skin doesnt take to the BP as well as others. so if its dreadfully irriated, cut back a bit. 2. my face LOVES jojoba oil. in fact, in extension to your first question.. (considering you havent broken out from it yet) using it will help your skin to stay hydrated so you can continue to use a good amount of BP. put it on
  18. i have never used it, but i too have heard good things about it. i dont think it would hurt to use it while doing the regimen aswell. but, i think the best thing to do would be waiting until youre clear, then adding that step.. just incase your skin doesnt like it for any reason, you'll know exactly what caused any irritations. when and if you decide to use it, i think the best time would be to slather it on before you cleanse, then carry on with the rest of the regimen. hope this helped, good
  19. jojoba oil, jojoba oil, jojoba oil! works amazingly. you can use it as a scrub before you use your cleanser (you'd never think to use oil as a scrub but it works amazingly to sift off all the flakes of dead skin). and i personally apply it after i cleanse before my BP aswell. it soothes the skin and prevents it from getting very red and helps A LOT with the dryness. (also heard it helps the BP to penitrate deeper into our pores) then you can also add a few drops of it to your moisturizer aswel
  20. theres users on here who've been using the regimen for years, and a lot of people who have cleared and never come back to forums because they dont need help with their skin anymore. it would be hard to think that this regimen worked for someone and then they became ammune to it... because BP puts oxygen into our pores and keeps them open. and bacteria cant survive while exposed to oxygen. so they MUST have been doing something wrong, or their skin didnt like the other products dan suggests. (or
  21. with the regimen, BP is constantly on your face ALL day long. i used proactiv before and it cleared me up a little, but then i became ammune to it. ive used just about everything and nothing has worked as well as this has. give it a shot. youve got nothing to lose.
  22. to the question about BP thining the skin.. i have absolutely no idea, you'd have to research that on google or something. i do know BP is known for aging skin. but i just heard that, not sure if its entirely true. and my breakout, first of all.. its a week before my time of the month so my hormones are kinda going crazy, and i slept in my makeup after a night out about a week ago so im having a rough time with all the zits popping up right now. but since ive been on the regimen for awhile th
  23. the regimen works different for all of us. im 6 weeks in and i just had another breakout, but im pretty sure i know what thats from so im not too worried about it. to get the best idea of how the regimen will work for you, visit the success stories page, or the "what to expect" page. i think they are very helpful. dont get your hopes too high that everything will clear fast, i didnt see really noticable results till about week 5. good luck! oh and as for your breakout right now, i think there
  24. im officially at the end of week 6 today, and so far ive experience some great results even tho im getting a bit of a breakout right now.. but i think it was caused by sleeping in my makeup last weekend (oopsies ). anywho, using the jojoba oil every other night to do a face scrub/mask, and applying it after i cleanse before the BP has worked wonders for keeping the redness and dryness away. however.. for the last few days, ive been experiencing some bad dry skin, even after i smother my skin in
