  1. Hi! I've been taking Lymecycline (Tetralysal tablets) for a week now - 1 a day. Since I've started taking them, I've noticed a reduction in inflamed spots (my acne is mild by the way, but on the worse end of mild!) however I'm developing more 'under the skin' spots and am breaking out a bit around my jawline and cheek area - an area where I never break out; most of my acne is around my mouth, nose and sometimes on my forehead. Should I be concerned? My Dermatologist said that I should
  2. Hey guys! ^.^ I need some help with my skin!! Ok, basically - I've been on Retin A for years, and it was working great (after my doctor bumped up my dose - I had a horrible 6 months on the lowest dose!), but for around the last 6 months, since changing my skincare, my acne's gotten worse. I don't want to go back to my old skincare (Clinique), as it was quite harsh, and whilst it helped with the spots, my skin became quite dehydrated etc... I'm probably seeing a dermatologist soon, but I wa
  3. Hello! I've been using Retin A 0.01% for about 9 weeks now, and whilst my skin has improved, i'm still getting spots... I switched from topical Erthromycin, in the hope that my skin would clear completly... It did get better, but not as i had hoped! I'm just running out of the Retin A gel, but am wondering if i should switch back to a topical Antibiotic...? Should i stick with the Retin A? Or switch? The thing is, my skin overall looks better with the Retin A, whilst i get less spots using th

  6. After about a week, I had no flakiness and a more even tone. At 2 weeks I looked pretty much the same as I did after 1 week. It's been a month now and I've had less acne than I normally would. Right now all of the blemishes on my face are in the healing stage, none of them are becoming more inflamed and at the moment I don't see or feel new ones forming. Depending on the person and the concentration being used, it could take a couple weeks or a couple months to see results. The general improveme
  7. Just out of interest, what strength gel are you using? Mine is 0.04% Really? I didn't think you could get that strength....I'm just worried that my skin just won't get better on this stuff.....how long was it before your skin started to improve....? I know you've talked about oiliness, and a 'glow', but with this stuff my skin seems to change pretty rapidly, and i've only been on it about 2 weeks.... 10. Ahhhh, ok. My Acne is mild (if you could even CALL it acne...) just a few spots...But i switched to Retin A from Eyrthromycin, to avoid resistance.... Thanks for your reply!
  11. Heeeeey...i'm new here, and have a question! I've been using Retin-A gel (o.o1%) for just over a week now, and while my skin seems to be improving, i haven't had ANY peeling, dryness, and hardly any redness... The gel stings when i apply it, but should i peel? I know this sounds ridiculous, but having read other posts on this treatment, my side effects seem to be minimal... Also, what are your experiences of Topical Tretinoin? thanks for reading!
