  1. I've been using Tretinoin for 4 monrths now, one thing I would suggest would be using Acanya in the morning, which is part Clyndamician and part BP, and use a BP wash (I use 10%) twice a day. It cleared up the stubborn acne that Tretinoin didn't.
  2. I have been on Tazorac .05 cream for 3 months and I tried lemon juice a few weeks ago. After about a week, I was breaking out again and my skin got very dry. When I asked my dermatologist what to do about the scars, she told me lemon juice can change the pH in a negative way and discolor the skin further, and the absolute best thing to use is Tazorac because it battles the scars. You might already, but use a light sunblock (I use La Roche-Posay Anthelois 60). The sun can further brighten the red
  3. My skin does the same thing and I have been using Taz for 3 months. I asked my doctor about it and she explained that Tazorac slowly controls oil production, sort of like Accutane in a bottle. So the time your skin is oily is your skin pores just getting rid of excess oil.
  4. I'm happy to hear you're on Tazorac I've been using it for almost 3 months and can tell you, the breakouts will get a lot worse before they get better. My IB lasted around 2 months before it all stopped. I'm also on Acanya gel in the mornings wich I love. Make sure you use a very gentle moisturizer, such as CaraVe. Hope all goes well
  5. I'm so happy to hear Tazorac is working well for people! I have been on it for 10 weeks or so and it is incredible. I mean yes the initial breakout is horrible, however its worth it. The only struggle after the initial breakout I have found is the red marks left behind.
  6. I have had sets of acid peels that worked maricals, however, soon after my acne came back so the results did not last for long. Overall after, my skin was smooth and very nice however I did peel after the third or so.
  7. If I were you, do a steam facial to open the cyst. (Stand over a pot of boiling water with salt for 20 minutes or so) Tazorac IS accutane in a bottle. I've been on it for 3 months and it has gotten rid of my acne almost fully. However, Tazorac does cause an initial breakout. I'm also on Acanya in the mornings and a BP wash.
  8. I don't know if this is the same thing, but I had a huge white bump under my nose for about a month. After trying to open it, and even going in for 2 cortisone shots, nothing worked. But one night, I steamed my face for about 30 minutes and it popped open and Keritin came out. Now its a little indention but its gone. hope that helps.
  9. Hello My name is Jennifer and I can totally feel for your daughter. I am 16 and have been using Tazorac for 4 weeks. I use Caravee wash, Caravee lotion, and Tazorac .1% at night. Sadly, the initial breakout can last for anywhere in between the full 12 weeks of fully using the medication. For the first three weeks upon using Tazorac I would literally cry every single night because my skin looked SO bad. I was so depressed. One important thing in fighting acne is support. My family and friends su
  10. I'm currently on Tazorac, and for the first 4 weeks I broke out so much, and then i ran out of samples and lost the prescription, so I mostly used a moisturizer for one week. When I went back of Tazorac a week later, I only peeled for the first few days. My acne turned mostly into white heads as well. I am on my 2nd month of Tazorac and am pretty pleased with the results so far Good Luck!
  11. I love Bare Esentials. Everytime I go into a Bare Essantial boutique, I am like a kid in a candy store. All my friends use MAC but I use Minerals One note I made with Bare Minerals is that I was the brushes once a weel with their soap they sell and it keeps everything nice and clean. Their Rare Minerals works really well on active breakouts. I believe it costs around what the doundations cost ($26-$28) and is really nice to use. It is Sulfur based and works well under the foundation. Doesn't sm
