  1. I find I'm getting a lot of hard little cysts on my neck/throat area. If I leave them alone, they usually fade under the skin but some of them are persistent buggers. Any cause for this?
  2. I've heard some good things about AHA. It doesn't appear to be easy to get hold of in the UK. I've found one I could import over Amazon. Can't say I've heard of Quinoderm before. Does it come highly recommended? Which is it to be?
  3. I've always suffered acne worst with my chest and I'm still fighting breakouts - at the grand old age of 25. I knew I had a few zits there but when I went out to the bathroom last night and looked in the mirror it was covered in blotches. Obviously the light and the acne scars made it look even worse, but it's still a problem. It's not a huge deal because I don't have a partner or anything, so I'm the only person who sees me undressed. It's not good for the ol' self-esteem, all the same. :/
  4. I would imagine it's worse for your skin if you DON'T masturbate.
  5. Interesting. Tea tree oil is more likely to dry your skin out, if anything.
  6. The bottle only says it helps prevent blackheads, but is it effective for acne in general?
  7. Update (for anyone who cares): I got the results of my second blood-test yesterday. Turns out that B12, folate, calcium, liver etc all came back normal. I did express my concern about MDS, but the doctor assured me that if it was the case, there would signs, and that I'm too young for that anyway. As we've covered all the possibilities, she more or less put it down to a harmless anomaly and recommended that I have another test in 3-6 months to see if there's any change.
  8. A few weeks ago I was having palpitations every day, and my stomach was doing backflips. After having a blood-test and ECG last Monday, my ECG came back okay but the blood test indicates macrocytosis (enlarged red blood cells). My doc has put me forward for another blood test - this time for folic/B12. Is it possible the Lymecycline antibiotics I have been taking (but since stopped two weeks ago) could be the cause of this? I'm kinda freakin' out at the moment, because my father has MD
  9. I don't think Soy is a problem. Besides, without Soy I couldn't drink tea, and that would be terribly un-British of me. To be honest, I don't eat a lot of veggies, except for a few for Sunday roast and maybe a little salad in sandwiches. My bad, I know. :/ Then you don't have a pretty good diet. And why don't you think soy is a problem. It's a problem for many people. It's extremely common to be intolerant to it. It's one of the worst sources of lectins that harm the digestive tract. And it's

My bad, I know. :/ Yup, I've been using an electric razor for about six months now. I also apply Nivea sensitive balm afterwards. I definitely get less irritation with the razor, but it's not foolproof. My acne has been pretty damn good for the past couple of
  12. Not too bad, if I say so myself. I do a little binging at weekends but through the week I have a balanced diet. Lean meats, pasta/rice, fruit, soy milk instead of dairy (and very little dairy in general) that kinda thing. Okay, so far, I've bought some Zinc citrate and a Multi-vitamin. Thinking of adding some green tea pills to that, as well.
  13. Just some quick background info: I'm 25 years old and have suffered with acne for much of my life. It was a constant menace throughout my adolescence and the various prescriptions of antibiotics did little to help. At one point, I came close to using Accutane but bottled out of it at the last moment because I was terrified of the side-effects. Over the years, my acne has naturally improved, however, I still get outbreaks on my chest/shoulders and the shaving area of my face. I went back on ant
  14. Is this the sorta thing I should be looking for?
