  1. Night 11 Haven't noticed any improvement, still broken out everywhere. Tried applying my Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Gel as spot treatment. Quite broken out on my neck and jawline. It sucks - plus I can't help but pick (trying to stop!) so it makes my face look red. Sigh. When is this stuff gonna work?! Well, only 3 more nights (including tonight!) til I'm leaving the benzoyl peroxide on for the entire night. I hope that will lead to an improvement...
  2. Day 7/Night 8 Tonight I leave the BP on for a full hour. YAY! Since the second night when I accidentally left it on for a few minutes too long, I haven't had any dryness or redness from it. Today was the third time I used my Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA 10% Glycolic Acid 2% Salicylic Acid Acne Clearing Gel. I don't notice a difference at ALL. I am so broken out right now, will take pics tomorrow for a week milestone... Granted, most of these zits were just starting when I started the regimen,
  3. That's too funny! How has it been helping you? Is it too harsh for you on the Accutane?
  4. Day 5 Ugh, I have 3 new zits, one in the center of my face on my forehead next to my hair line and two next to each other (making it look like one big zit) on my lower right cheek. Grrr...I am only on Day 5 (well, night 5, day 4) of my new skin care routine, so I cannot place blame. It's most likely because I'm expecting "that time of the month" any day now. I'm anxious for it to arrive, because I want to go back on birth control to hopefully get my body acne back under control! I'm hop
  5. Day 4 So I am sitting right now with the BP 10% on my face, waiting for the 30 min to be up. On this regimen, every three days for two weeks I increase the time I leave the BP on until I wash it off. I love the way my skin feels afterwards - dry and smooth! Every other day I put on the AHA 10%. Yesterday was my first go around with it. I got the Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel and it was nice. I followed the instructions to a T. I felt a tiny bit of stinging by my left temple (
  6. Day 2 So a lot is going on. I went to the Natural Medicine Center (which is a part of my insurance provider) to sign up for treatments for my back and joint pain. I was prescribed Acupuncture and two nutritional consultations. Nutritional consultations? That means that I can possibly get a better grip on eating healthy! I eat oatmeal for breakfast when I have time, and try to cook healthfully for dinner, mostly some kind of chicken breast dish. I've still put on a few pounds this winter
  7. Depends really on how high of an SPF you use. When I want some color, I use SPF 15 and just reapply CONSTANTLY (whenever I get out of the water, use a towel, or just think of it) to prevent burning. Use a higher SPF and it lasts longer, but I reapply even with waterproof. My bf and I are pasty white and went to Turkey. I reapplied religiously, and he played in the pool. He turned beet red with a horrible sunburn, and I just had red cheeks. I think the sun refracting off the water didn't exactl
  8. I know what you mean. I have face, neck, back, chest, body (sometimes boobs, butt, and stomach) acne. And I have a nasty ingrown toenail to boot! I'm just a mess. But we're here - so that's a start on getting our skin under control Right??
  9. So I decided to go ahead and start Laura's regimen based on a PM confirming my suspicions that I have non-inflamed acne. So excited! eusa_dance.gif These are the (local) items I will be using. Sorry for the long list of ingredients, but since they are made in Israel, there are not many returns on google for certain products! Cleanser: L'oreal Pure Zone Exfoliating Gel Wash Toner: Careline Delicate Toner (The only toner w/o alcohol I could find!) Ingredients: Purified Water, Propylene
  10. I have been suffering with acne since I was 9 and in 4th grade. At 12, in 1999, I started my first course of Accutane and again at 15 in 2001/2002. The only side effects I was aware of were extremely painful, dry, chapped lips. It got me clear for a little bit (a year or so) each time, but never completely. Now, at 23, I've been off of Yasmin BC for four months (no particular reason) after 7 yrs on it, and my body acne came back with a vengeance! I went to a new dermatologist (oh, I moved to I
  11. Thanks for replying! I am going back and forth about whether to make today "Day 3" or not. I suffer from depression and fibromyalgia (joint pain) and apparently those are delayed side effects of it! I have to wonder (though I doubt there is a way to prove or disprove this) if taking it when I was 12 and 15 led to these conditions? Also, I sprained my middle finger when I was 15 and there's calcification of the joint. I never attributed it to Accutane (neither did my doctor), but apparently that's
  12. Thanks for replying! I have an appt in a month with my derm and to get blood tests done, but after discussing all the potential side effects with my bf, we decided that I should stop it and pursue other possibilities. I'm actually gearing up to go to the pharmacy soon now, just looking on acne.org for some ideas as what the heck to get! Doesn't BP exacerbate your dryness?? I never have dryness, and the first two times with Accutane I just suffered from dried out lips.
  13. I suffer from the same problem! I cannot offer advice, just empathy. Do you ever get extractions or facials done? I find that it clears my blackheads up (except for the ones on my chin ) for awhile. Good luck!!
  14. Hello! I am trying to start a new Acne killing regimen, but I'm a bit confused as to where to begin. I have oily skin and mild acne, all over, including my neck, back, chest, and a few choice spots on my body (lucky me ). I have recently gone off BC (off it for four months) so I'm hopping right back on it this month. For now, however, my face and body are a disaster area. Here are some (painful) pics of my face at the moment. What kind of acne do I have? I have incredibly oily/combination ski
