  1. Hello! Best of luck on your accutane journey. I started accutane last June and finished up in December. I will try to answer your questions to the best of my ability. 1) I did get tired sometimes, but it never interfered with my day to day life. It was so insignificant that I'm not sure it was even a side effect or just my imagination. The part that made me tired was the body aches, which made me just want to lie down and not be too active. 2) I would ask your derm for recommendations, but
  2. Good luck! I have been where you are, so I know what you are going through. We are rooting for you! Amy
  3. haha Yeah. All I meant was that you have a solution. The solution takes a long time, but it is definitely better than nothing. I am not going to lie. The waiting sucks. But at least I was going through a process. I would have been in a worse place if I didn't even have a process or anything to wait for.
  4. Long time, no see! :) How are you jenny?!

  5. I know it's hard right know. But the good news is that (even though it really doesn't feel like it) everything is downhill from here. You have a solution and all you have to do now is wait! Yep yep, easier said than done. I know THAT'S right. Waiting for the Accutane to finally kick in was incredibly hard. But it's all worth it in the end, I promise. We are all here for you, because all of us have gone through this at one point or another. Hang in there! Amy
  6. 245 days after starting accutane... After receiving a few PMs from current Accutaners asking me about my experience on Accutane, I decided that I should do a post-accutane follow up log entry. I still feel really badly about abandoning my log when I was half way through Accutane. It wasn’t so much that I cleared up (because I didn’t get 100% clear until about a month and a half ago, at the very end of my treatment), but I became a working, full-time student who was planning her wedding. Wh
  7. Day 172 Well, I'm almost done! I finish up treatment on the 26th of this month. Honestly, this was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life andI can't believe that it worked as well as it did--- Accutane saved my life. I can honestly say that I'm in a better place emotionally and I can love myself more than I have in a long, long time. Recap: Months 1-3: These were the most difficult months, hands down. The first month showed zero changes in my acne, but a lot of side effects kicked
  8. Day 113 Well, it doesn't seem like there's much of the original crowd left. My little log just feels like it's floating out by itself in space. I removed all the pictures... for some reason, I just got really uneasy having pictures of myself on such a major website. I hope no one minds! I would never give up on this little log, but I don't think it's doing much good in the state that it's in. So I'm going on a hiatus for a while, and will update only if major things happen that could help out a
  9. Day 106 Ten days until I reach my cumulative dosage!!!! Things are going really well! The redness looks a little better each week-- I think it'll be practically gone by the end of the year. It sounds like it's a long ways away but it'll come in a blink of an eye, I guarantee you. I have a few circular red marks marks on my forehead and one on my left cheek, but I don't mind them because they're easily covered by makeup. I just haven't reapplied any which is why they're visible in the pictu
  10. And this strangely ad-sounding post pertains to my log.... how? I'd say the vast majority of people who go on this drug are made aware of the potential things that could happen to them. Personally, I did a lot of research before I even considered putting Isotretinoin into my body. In the end, it's a risk I'm willing to take. Logs are for sharing experiences and giving support. Please don't post things like this on my log. And to everyone else, I promise I usually don't freak out like this
  11. Isn't that stuff amazing? I don't know how I would survive my accutane course without it! I can't believe they don't readily sell it in Europe-- it seems like such a useful product. Hmmmm.....
  12. Day 99 I went home for my end of month 3/beginning of month 4 dermatologist appointment this morning! I got to see my favorite nurse practitioner again, and she is amazed at my progress! She thinks that this coming month will be just as productive as the last month was, so I am super stoked for that! She also said that I might have some superficial scarring after all, but she won't even think about scar treatments until at least 6 months after I finish accutane. Honestly, I don't mind too much
  13. Hi Nikki! Just wanted to wish you luck on your Accutane course! I'm about 98 days into mine and so far, it's been the best thing I've ever done for my skin. I don't regret making this choice for a second, and I hope it treats you just as well as it has treated me! I wouldn't be too worried about being "broken." haha I didn't see any side effects until day 8, and that was only slightly dry lips. Things didn't pick up until the next week. My first month was the worst for me, side effects-wise, a
  14. Hi! Congrats on starting accutane! It's a big leap but it's totally worth it, in my opinion! Keep us posted! Amy
