    I BOUGHT THE AHA+

Be thankful you AREN'T having to deal with dry and flakey skin. It sucks big time! I just started using AHA several days ago and it is helping soooo much. My skin was really dry and flakey around my chin and mouth area especially, but it is almost completely moisturized now. But yeah, uh 2-3 times per day seems VERY excessive. If you keep it up, in the long run you'll probably end up doing more damage than good for your skin. I agree with c'est la vigne, use AHA once a day at the most. I
  2. As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, why fix it"? LOL So yeah, if it's working why change it? I definitely wouldn't!

Can moisturizer be made without jojobo oil???

I wouldn't think that the jojoba oil would cause your face to turn red. Jojoba oil is pretty much as natural of an ingredient as you can find. It is very similiar to our own oil that our skin produces. Also, there are no harsh ingredients, it is all natural. How long have you been on Dan's regimen? In the beginning, your face is sensitive from the BP. So, it is common for your face to have a slight burning/stinging sensation when you put on the moisturizer, and maybe even turn red like you
  4. Have you tried using a good moisturizer such as Cetaphil? Or using jojoba oil? Or AHA? Or all three like I do? HAHA May be worth a shot trying before you scrub the dead skin off and get a facial. I mix jojoba oil in with my moisturizer. Also, in the morning before I cleanse, I rub jojoba oil into my skin to help loosen the dead crap that makes my face look crappy (worst around chin). This has been helping quite a bit. The AHA is a moisturizer AND exfoliant, which is awesome! :) I use it at
  5. You could always try Dan's AHA. It helps even skin tone and exfoliates. Might be worth a shot.

    5% Benzoyl Peroxide

If you are doing Dan's regimen, I wouldn't recommend using the 5%. Anything more than 2.5% in my opinion is too irritating which can cause your skin to get worse instead of better. But everyone is different, so some may not have irritation using 5% like others. Personally, I only use 2.5%.

    applying toner

Are you talking about the bags of cotton like for stuffing pillows!? If so, yeah that won't really work. I like cotton balls, they work the best. I've tried the round cotton pads/squares, but I think they absorb the toner too much. Just squirt some on a cotton ball and glently glide across your face. Pretty simple. Plus, cotton balls are cheap.
  8. I don't think I will use a moisturizer again with the AHA. I just thought well hey, my skin is dry, lets add more moisturizer to it. But, I'm guessing your skin can only absorb so much, so why waste and add moisturizer that isn't needed? I am just so sick of the stupid dryness and flakey looking skin. Makes makeup look like crap and my skin is more oily since it's producing more to compensate for the dryness! Surprisingly, my skin doesn't look as bad as it did yesterday and isn't oily. Maybe the

    Eight weeks and STILL FLAKY/DRY?

Ok, I didn't need to hear that! HAHA Have you tried decreasing the amount of BP you're using? I decreased the BP yesterday, am doing jojoba oil rub in the morning before I shower and then using AHA at night. Today my skin is MUCH better looking! No flakes YAY! But yeah, the dryness is kind of unpredictable and comes and goes I've noticed over the last few weeks.

    Eight weeks and STILL FLAKY/DRY?

Dry again. I feel your pain! I'm in the same boat you are. I moisturize like crazy and use jojoba oil both morning and night. It seems like it doesn't matter how much moisturizer I use, it doesn't help. I've just started using AHA, the next day my face was even flakier, which pissed me off LOL. But, I guess this is common because the AHA gets rid of the dead skin. Sooo yeah. I'm going to try decreasing the amount of BP I'm using. I'm thinking my skin just doesn't need as much as Dan i

    Helps with hormonal acne!

I was going to check out the website but it said I needed an invite code. I guess the website isn't opened to the public. Said when it was available to everyone, I'd be notified by email. That sucks!

Some don't need full BP amount???

So, are you annoyed with me yet? HAHA I'm ALWAYS asking a new question. Thanx for replying, you are a huge help and always have good answers and advice. I agree with you about using the BP twice a day, although I'd prefer only night time like you do. There are just too many fricken options!!!!!!!!!! I think that's what frustrates me.

Some don't need full BP amount???

c'est la vigne: I want to say that I'm completely clear, but I'm not. Well, I don't have any "active" pimples, so maybe that means I am clear! I had a few come up, but they were due to the monthly visitor. However, they all went away in a day and I just have a small red mark where they were, which will be gone in a day or two. If I do get a pimple, they heal soooooooooo much faster now that I'm doing Dan's regimen. Also, they aren't the ones that take FOREVER to go away, which is a plus.
  15. I was wondering if it was possible that some people don't need the full amount of BP. I'm beginning my 6th week today and my skin is still pretty dry and flakey. My acne was never severe to begin with. Maybe those with more severe acne need more BP? I just started using the AHA, so maybe it will help. But, I was just wondering if some peoples' skin never adjusts to the full amount? I was thinking about decreasing the amout I use in the morning, to see if it helps so my skin can have moistu
