  1. I actually eat sweet potato or kumara as its called here everyday so yeah, hahah. I enjoy eating healthy too! And lots of props to you for exercising! You're 15? That's when I had really bad hyper-pigmentation =[ All of my brothers have had acne during puberty but they have much better skin now. I still have it the worst, but I'm also the youngest, so with age... hopefully... And I HATE those acne commercials! They're damn liarsssss.
  2. Yup yup you need to apply moisturizer slowly and lightly so it doesn't slough off the bp. I've been using the bp for many months now with no significant changes. I'm trying to focus more on my diet now ; lots of fresh food. Check the nutrition boards. Hope this helps yea ill remember that thanx :]...but it just seems that it gets a litte tough when applying the moisturizer..does that make sense? like it just doesnt glide on like the BP does... its a little harder to move around...and
  3. I worry that the boy I have a huge crush on thinks I look gross I recently started dating someone which I struggle to enjoy sometimes b/c I still have persistent acne. A few weeks ago, I had a TERRIBLE pimple (right on my god damn nose) and avoided seeing him until it subsided, even then I knew he looked at it. But the good thing is, he doesn't care really. And that's a great quality about someone when so many boys now stress shallow appearances. You'll be fine! Someone who doesn't judg

  5. Your skin looks great! I use lemon too, it's amazzzzzing! I want to recommend comparing the same serving size of brown rice and sweet potatoes Brown rice http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/cereal...nd-pasta/5710/2 Sweet potato http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegeta...products/2667/2 It has a lower glycemic load, fewer carbs but just as filling, A LOT of vita A, and anti-inflammatory. Just sayin.
  6. Haaha Well you must've went to the nice part of NJ because they are a major manufacturing state. nyc has a population of about 8 million and a large portion of those people use cars so I'm sure if I went to some wonderful distant island my skin would be much clearer. Yes I think my skin is clearest during the Spring when I can get moderate sun exposure without the nasty humidity. I feel ya
  7. Haha YES I agree. It looks like you've irritated it too much. Be more gentle with your skin.
  8. Potatoes are extremely starchy and cause blood sugar levels to rise quickly and milk is high in saturated fat. May those be contributing factors? =\\
  9. Yes I've read that fluoride is a by product of factories sometimes and large amounts of it can lead to defect teeth and internal problems. And as for cavities, they're quite easy to avoid if you brush thoroughly (try different motions) twice daily, floss, and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I've never been to the dentist and I have never had a cavity. I also use Tom's of Maine fluoride free toothpaste.
  10. This is quite possible. Why don't you experiment without the urine and see how it goes?
  11. This is just out of curiosity, but where do you live? Rural or city environment and what's the severity of your acne? Personally, I live on the east coast of the US, so I'm constantly being exposed to atrocious air pollution, which doesn't help my already existing acne. Grr! What are your thoughts on the correlation between acne and the surrounding air quality?
  12. hmm I'm altering my diet for my general well being. I don't eat fast food and I try my best to avoid processed food when I can. And I usually notice the day after I eat a heavy or starchy meal (which happens when I go out) that my skin is oilier. It's not science, just my experience. But I do recommend foods high in beta carotene (carrots, sweet potato, green vegetables). Generally I'd just say stay away from processed food as best as you can b/c the more of it you put into your body, the mor

  14. I noticed that my skin is usually oily after I use them. Which defeats the purpose =\
  15. Oh yes! That's great! Ive been considering getting a facial steamer. It feels wonderful. But. I would like to know when you wash your face too, after the steam? Or perhaps wash, steam, them apply acne medication/moisturizer when the prores are still large?
