  1. Actually this may sound silly but perhaps scheduling bowel movements would help in course with taking anti oxidant supplements...? Just a thought. And yea, caffeine is no good. I quit smoking too.
  2. Provided the potential downsides of detoxifying the skin and cleaning out from the ground up, I include zinc with the other supplements I take to make for better management. I think that has been helping a lot. My current supplement lineup is a muti-vitamin, Zinc, Fish Oil, and Grape Seed Extract. It has been a constant thing for a few weeks now. However my eating habits have changed too, for a month or so I have been off of soda, most sources of high-fructose corn syrup, and on more fruits, gr
  3. After weeks of practice and annoying my roomies/neighbors, I can finally hit the notes of this song pretty spot on. Eh Eh? Layne's life may have been self destructive, but God bless him, he was a good singer and person.
  4. I mean to say I have both red and brown spots. The reds have gone from dark to lighter over a course of a few months, so there is progress. Overall, in the past few weeks especially, I've made my best progress, particularly because I have been rampaging on heavy supplements, like mutlivitamins, zinc, grape seed extract and fish oil. It really couldn't be working better. I have learned that dealing with skin problems is a fight that needs to be taken both internally and externally. I now feel s
  5. Can anyone say what's great for solving dark/red spots aside from the bleaching creams? Are photo-facials trustworthy over time? I've done my research, but the internet is always garbage-in/garbage-out. Thanks and Best.
  6. Have found olive oil to be not only soothing but effective at reducing redness and creating a smooth feel. If you are afraid of over-washing (like myself), apply olive oil and let soak into the pores for a few minutes, then wash off with water and pat dry. That's my suggestion. I prefer to wait another five minutes before using BP . I also picked up on an older thread from Dan that suggests using chilled BP with cool water. I will do the same with Olive oil and my cleanser. My goal is to redu
  7. consultation scheduled with a new plastic surgeon. his operating times fit my school schedule a bit better, so that's a plus. but it is in too long to wait.... 6 weeks from this thursday. then the next day i shall schedule for the procedure, the office said that is workable. that gives me 6 weeks and 3 days, basically to the end of the school quarter (finals time - shit!) to clear my skin. Probably still unrealistic. I want to clear my skin a. so it can be clear but primarily b. so pimples wo
  8. probably in the range of 500 USD... that's on otc only, thanks mom. acne has been a problem for about 9 months tho, which adds a lot of weight for spending. Rx would run over a thousand without health insurance. they do a killing.

My two cents: Diagnosed with (diagnosed?) dysthymia sometime halfway through high school. That was four years ago. I took a light dose of Zoloft, finally weened off of it sometime last spring. That was a very bad idea, as I have been fighting unrelenting acne ever since. Now I'm on prescribed antibiotics: minocycline (Solodyn; goodbye liver), Duac and Defferin, on top of changing between washes (Neutrogena, to Basis, to Purpose.... to hell with neutrogena). I only thought I was in the clear u
