  1. Thanks for responding! That's exactly what I thought. My only worry is that my hormones are so messed up from Sronyx that it's going to take a while for them to stabilize. I'm going back to Lutera starting this Sunday, I'll update this post with my progress and see if my skin goes back to normal.
  2. I actually used to be on Lutera for over a year (until this past month) and my skin was completely clear (I was also using the Regimen). I thought it was the Regimen making my face clear but I switched birth control last month to Sryonx and now I'm breaking out like crazy. I'm pretty sure the Lutera kept my face clear for that long. I know it's a cheap drug and I have heard really bad things about it but I guess it works differently for everyone. I am switching back to Lutera next month and fing
  3. Hi Everyone, I haven't been on this forum for a long time because Dan's Regimen has worked so well for me...or so I thought. To give some background, I'm a 20 year old female and I used to have moderate acne. I started the birth control Lutera around the same time I started the Regimen over a year a ago and I saw miraculous results. For the past 7 or 8 months, my skin was COMPLETELY clear, I never had to worry about acne at all. I thought The Regimen had changed my life. When I switched to S
  4. I use Revlon Colorstay too and I LOVE it. I've been using it for years. I have tried more expensive brands like Urban Decay 24/7 and MAC Pearlglide Eyeliners, but they never stay on as well or go on as smoothly as the Revlon Colorstay! It also comes in a perfect Black/Brown color that isn't too stark black or too light of a brown. It's only $5-7 at any drugstore or target.
  5. Nivea - A Kiss of Moisture is the BEST chapstick I have ever tried EVER. You do not need to apply it constantly, and your lips will still stay smooth! I use it maybe once in the morning and once at night, and my lips are never chapped. It's better than anything else I have ever tried, including Burt's Bees, Softlips, Carmex, Blistex, and many other well-known brands. You can get it for about $2 at any drugstore.
  6. Thanks, Sharpy! Your answer helped a lot. Now I feel like the problem is not the Bare Minerals, but Dan's moisturizer. My skin still feels dry after applying it, and adding Jojoba oil just makes it greasy under makeup. Sharpy, have you tried Dan's moisturizer? How does CeraVe compare? I know a lot of people like to use a different moisturizer while on this regimen, maybe Dan's is not the right one for me.
  7. I know this is kind of an old topic, but hopefully someone can give me some advice. I'm a 20 year old girl and I've been having the same problem too lately with my makeup, which is applying makeup smoothly over both the BP and the moisturizer from the regimen. I'm happy to report that after being on the regimen since this past January, my skin is completely clear but I still have some red spots and whatnot that I would like to cover. I used to use only my BareMinerals foundation, which goes on
  8. It's not the Bare Minerals causing the little bumps, I've had them since before I started using Bare Minerals (WAAY before...I've had these for months.) I think honestly the little bumps are just whiteheads or small non-inflamed pimples, because they aren't red and they aren't from an allergic reaction. I'm going to start using AHA!
  9. I agree with what everyone else is saying about Valentine's day, even though I'm not single...it's really just any other day. I feel like the importance is magnified in high school, where it is so important to have a significant other! I didn't start dating until after high school, so for Valentine's Day, my friends and I would buy each other candy and flowers and made it fun. Just wait until you get to college...all these things you worry about so much will be so insignificant!
  10. Have you tried Dan's face wash yet? It's really foamy and effective, so I understand why he recommends you only wash your face for 10 seconds. However, the soap is so gentle, I don't think washing your face longer can do any harm - especially to remove makeup; it's probably much worse to not wash all your makeup off, and then put on the BP after. I've been on the regimen for about a week, and I've been washing my face for 20 seconds, which is long enough to take all my foundation off. (and I w
  11. I have the same thing! My skin looks okay, but there are lots of tiny flesh-colored bumps which I think are tiny clogged pores/whitehead type things. And they never go away, either...I feel like my cheeks are always covered in little bumps! I just started using Dan's system and used AHA once (since my skin has been OK on the BP for a week, no dryness at all) and it seemed to help! But does anyone know of a good makeup that covers these little bumps?? I'm using Bare Minerals right now and it
  12. I don't know if this is just me, but with Dan's BP gel, I don't notice the benzoyl peroxide smell at all! I used to use the 5% gel from Kaiser, and it always had a strong odor. Dan's is definitely the best I've ever tried, it doesn't make my skin very dry either (which is atypical, most people experience flakiness but I think after years of using 5% BP and proactive my skin is immune to its effects.) So yeah, I would definitely buy Dan's BP gel and don't waste your money on the cream or anythi
  13. I have been using the Regimen for about a week, after using Proactive for about 2 months. Let me tell you....Compared to Proactive (which doesn't work at all), the Regimen is AMAZING so far. I can already see a difference! And to answer your question, there was no initial breakout! You may have initial flakiness or dryness, but I didn't, because my skin was already used to BP (presumably from the Proactive, which also uses 2.5% BP but Dan's is waaaay better!) If anything, using the Proactiv
  14. I really like this idea! Even if it doesn't clear up my skin, I want to eat healthier (and I love making fruit smoothies, so adding some greens won't be a huge change!) I noticed in many posts you recommended kale and collard greens in addition to spinach. What nutritional/acne fighting properties do kale and collard greens have that spinach does not? Is Romaine lettuce okay too? Thanks, and I can't wait to try this!
